I POAS today despite knowing in my gut that it's not my month, and it's not my month. BFN. I used a dollar store cheapie at 10DPO so who knows how reliable that really is. I have a couple of good ones but I'm not wasting them this month. I will only pull out the good ones if my period is ever late again. I'm sick of spending money every month on pee sticks.

At least I know to trust my gut.

10 dpo is still pretty early. i wouldnt count yourself out yet!!

and then there is the irony with pee sticks.. and i am totally the same way. the expensive ones are the ones that WILL pick up an early bfp, but we use the cheapies (that usually dont work that early) and get bfn's. then we use the really good ones later on when any ole pee stick will show up b/c the good ones are so flippen expensive!

You're probably right... the cheapies are only a $1 and I bought 6! LOL That makes a lot of sense though. It's the expensive ones that would work NOW. I guess my logic was a little off! LOL

I used cheapies the last time I was PG... I bought them at different food stores, both were a $1 and were different brands. I got a pretty good BFP at 8DPO with cheapies from one store.....but $1 tests from a different store picked up BFP at 14 DPO only... and a $5 test from walmart showed a very faint line at 16 dpo.... so you never know...

You're right, I know it's early too. I just decided to pick up the cheapies because we're not going to TTC probably until summertime if at all so I figured I would have fun with the ones that don't hurt the pocket book. LOL

I still believe in my heart though that this isn't my month... but I'll enjoy trying anyway. LOL

^^^ that is very true. i have seen some very nice bfp with dollar tests.... also some really nice evaps (boo). so annoying!

I could have bought stock in IBM... with the money I spent over the last 18 months on Pee sticks..... You have to admit..... addiction.. it is a bad thing.... LOL

I am kind of in the same boat hun.. I felt like I didn't have a chance this cycle, and then I got a nice dip below coverline, and so I wait till 9 DPO to test, and I have been using internet cheapies, and I am getting BFN's.. It is depressing but I know it is stil early.. I would just think if I implanted 5 days ago it would show up.. I must be slow at producing the hormone..

You're definitely still in the game! But if you have the self control to wait until you're late to test again, then go for it! I really admire people who can stop that urge to POAS Good luck in the next few days!

I bought the dollar store tests...and saved the big guns for if I ever saw a slight line on the dollar store ones.

But the dollar store ones, I found, are NOT great...they DO work, but they don't work fast!!!

I'm due for AF later in the week so we'll see then. Maybe I'll take a FRER on the 4th (Thursday) which would be the 28th day of my cycle. In the meantime I may continue to waste the cheapies... never know! LOL
