Hello everyone - I have never posted over here, I am mostly on the TTC board. I had an early mc in November of 08. I think I was 5w4d. We have been trying since then but without luck. We took a couple of months off when DH lost his job and another couple when I had back surgery, so altogether it has been about 14 cycles but the last 9 have been without any breaks (we are now on cycle 10). DH went for an SA the other day which came back completely normal, now my dr wants to test to see if my tubes are blocked.

I am wondering if anyone on here is having trouble getting pregnant after their loss, if so what is your Dr. recommending? I need to do more research into it but it seems strange that I could get pregnant that one time and now my tubes could possibly be blocked? The procedure doesn't scare me but finding out the results do, from the little I have read surgery to correct blocked tubes isn't very successful and your option to get pregnant is IVF.

Hi there. Before me and DH got pregnant we tried actively for 1 year and off and on for 4 years before that. I had a HSG done and found out that I have two uterus (I do not remember the medical term for it). The cycle after that we were on clomid (hormone to make an egg release better and stronger) so we got PG that cycle (that was about 9 months ago now). A combination of flushing the tubes and uterus sometimes helps by itself but clomid was the trick for us. After our loss in Beginning of November-09 we have tried for 2 cycles and nothing to show for it. I have a doctor appointment with my OB on March 18th for a consultation to see if I can get one dose of clomid again. I do not want to be patient anymore. I hope this helped you some.

Hey I know you from the TTC forum...... I am sorry to hear about your loss.

Um my last loss was in Aug 09 and it was a suspected eptopic so I was given methotrexate injections just as a precausion. It has been 6 months since then, and I am still having no luck but because DH just started his new job we havn't got benifits just yet so I haven't been able to go to my DR's...

I'm sorry for your loss. After my 1st miscarriage it took 3 months. I'm still waiting to see that bfp. I had a miscarriage in Jan and then chemical in Feb. I guess it all depends on your body how quickly you get your bfp.

First off welcome to the board. I am so very sorry for you loss! {Hugs}
DH and I got pregnant right away the first time. Then after that loss it took 6 months and it was another loss. Now its been 8 months since the last loss and no luck. I have tried Clomid & Femara but no luck with them either. I hope your doctor can figure something out for you. KUP!

Hi Christine! Welcome to TTCAL!

I'm sorry that you have been thru so much in the past 14 months and that it's been a wary journey... as far as what doctor to go see I think it's between your OB/GYN & RE (reproductive endocrinologist) I've been referred out to an RE just yesterday, but it's mainly to see if there's any issues. But they also are fertility specialists.
