Well this morning I had my appt at the peri's office. This appointment was supposed to be "THE BIG ONE" where I was going to have all this blood work done to test for clotting disorders, lupus, etc and see if there was something causing the losses that is unseen... Today I had Dr. W who is one of the 2 dr's I see, he's the on I've not seen as much but he's a GREAT dr and I really like him. (I don't know what some of the others have said about him, he's sweet, very intellgent & I feel very comfy around him) Anyways, well, we sat down and had a long conversation. We went over everything that I've been going thru and he said that in my best intrest that he'd like to refer me out to an RE. Said that he's not specialized in that area and altho he could run all this blood work that the RE would be best equipped to read/treat me accordingly. He's optimistic that everything will be fine and that I will have a successful pregnancy... he kept saying I'll see you back in a couple of months. Glad someone is optimistic!

Dr W also said allot of ladies get referred over there and end up not finding anything wrong, that if that is the case it is a GOOD thing and I shouldn't get discouraged. Altho he said it's hard not to when you go thru reoccurant miscarriages & pregnancy losses. He also asked if we were sexually active and I said well ya, then asked if there was any chance I could be pregnant & if I had tested at home recently... told him I didn't think it was possible with how much I've bled and no I haven't tested in a while. So they did another set of beta's and he did an ultrasound right there abdomenally to see, but also said if it were early he couldn't see anything. So who knows! He was saying stranger things have happened and wants to make sure I'm not pregnant before going to the RE because they would be wondering wth he was doing LOL (he's a silly dr)

So long story short, nothing was done really today... he was shocked I've bled for 26 days, but said the numbers have looked good coming down. Told him about the abdomenal pains and asked if they were left right middle, told him the middle to right and he looked around with the probe it looks "ok" in there.

I think that's it in a nutshell...

Oh and I just recieved a call from the RE's office... they're booking until JUNE! OMG, I mean still she put me on a cancellation list geesh. So I did the phone intake counselling now just waiting until the next couple of days to get a final date scheduled. I don't want to wait that long, ouch! What if I were to get pg... I mean Dr W said I would just go to them, but dayum.

I'm sorry you have to wait a little longer to get all your bloodwork done, Celena. And I totally do not understand why doctors even take new patients if they can't see them for months on end. But I hope you do get into a cancellation appointment at that it's in the next couple weeks. Waiting for doctors is no fun.

It's great that you like the perinatologist, though. And it sounds like he is really easygoing and responsive. I hope your betas come back negative (or rising with a new pg).

He does sound like a very good doctor.. I am glad that he is referring you to someone who specializes in that area so you get more answers...

Also on a side note when I had the methotrexate I bled and spotted for a full month.. Pretty much from the time I had the shot till the middle of the next month.. It was crazy, and I did have the same adominal pain also...

He sounds like a nice doctor. I love it when doctors are optimistic, it make life so much less stressful. I really hope there is a cancellation so you can get into the RE before June!
