Okay ladies we're going to do the movie reviews & recommendations early this week and let's see how many old or new movies you can list this week!

Some of my favorite 80's flicks...

PRETTY IN PINK Young Andie is one of the not-so-popular girls in high school. She usually hangs out with her friends Iona or Duckie. Duckie has always had a crush on her, but now she has met a new guy from school, Blane. He's one of the rich and popular guys but can the two worlds meet?

THE BREAKFAST CLUB They were five students with nothing in common, faced with spending a Saturday detention together in their high school library. At 7 a.m., they had nothing to say, but by 4 p.m., they had bared their souls to each other and become good friends. To the outside world they were simply the Jock, the Brain, the Criminal, the Princess and the Kook, but to each other, they would always be the Breakfast Club.

FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH Follows a group of high school students growing up in southern California, based on the real-life adventures chronicled by Cameron Crowe. Stacy Hamilton and Mark Ratner are looking for a love interest, and are helped along by their older classmates, Linda Barrett and Mike Damone, respectively. The center of the film is held by Jeff Spicoli, a perpetually stoned surfer dude who faces off with the resolute Mr. Hand, who is convinced that everyone is on dope.

SIXTEEN CANDLES Samantha's life is going downhill fast. The fifteen-year-old has a crush on the most popular boy in school, and the geekiest boy in school has a crush on her. Her sister's getting married, and with all the excitement the rest of her family forgets her birthday! Add all this to a pair of horrendously embarrassing grandparents, a foreign exchange student named Long Duc Dong, and we have the makings of a hilarious journey into young womanhood.

BETTER OFF DEAD Lane Meyer is a depressed teen who looses his girlfriend Beth. This is her reason for the split; "Lane, I think it'd be in my best interest if I dated somebody more popular. Better looking. Drived a nicer car." Anyway, poor Lane is left alone and thinks up treacherous ways of killing himself. He finally meets a French beauty called Monique and falls for her. Simultaneously, he must endure his mothers terrible cooking which literally slides off the table, his disgusting next door neighbour Ricky (and his mum) and he must prepare for the skiing race of his life - to get his old girlfriend back!

OoOo I love all those 80's movies! I have 2012 sitting here from Netflix but havent watched it yet. DH asked me out for a date on Sunday to see the new Alice in Wonderland movie.

Where the Wild Things are looks cute too. Waiting on it from Netlix too.

A funny one we saw the other week was The Ugly Truth. Very raunchy as far as language - very sexually explicit but FUNNY! DH at first was ike oh gawd another chick movie but he actually enjoyed it.

DH was watching 2012 the other day while I was on the computer. I hate movies like that, I get too anxious and I start yelling at all the characters about how stupid they are. Kyle says that he would recommend it...

DH and I watched Alice in Wonderland last night and I really liked it. DH said he liked it but could have waited for it to come out on video. Personaly, I thought it was too beautiful to not watch in the theater.
