Got my result today and my hcg is now at 94. It is going down but not fast enough. Waiting on my dr. to tell me if I am going to get another injection. Not sure if he will do or it just wait and let the oncologist decide what I need. So aggravating. I wish they would just do the injection today so that next week I could get my bw on schedule. My appt. with the oncologist isn't until the 22nd. So two weeks exactly! If they continue to give me the injections I could be neg. by the 22nd but who knows.

Lisa I'm glad to see that your numbers have dropped nearly in half, but I'm sorry that it's not what you were hoping for. Perhaps they will just let the oncologist do it and praying either way it's NEGATIVE asap!!!
 I'm really very sorry all that you have gone thru and the emotional & physical toll it's taking on you. Praying for you honey!!!!

I'm sorry this keeps dragging on for you, Lisa. I'm hoping that the drop in your levels is a really good sign, and that you will be back to baseline by the end of this month. I hope your oncologist appt goes well and that you get a fresh start in April! Hugs.

ugh. i am so sorry that this is continues to drag on. i am glad your numbers are dropping, tho i know you wish they were going faster.... i hope you can get your next shot soon and it is the LAST one you will need ~

Talked to the nurse today and they don't want to do another injection b/c she said I should have had a bigger drop than what I did so they aren't really sure what is going on. I will still go to their lab to get my blood drawn on Monday though. I just wonder how big of a drop I will have since I am not getting an injection this week. My last bw was 10 days apart too so she said it really should have been a lot more of a drop. Got my eye surgery done. It was weird. I thought I was going to have a panic attack right there on the table but finally they finished. I go back tomorrow so the dr. can take a suture out and remove the patch off my eye. That will be interesting. Hope everyone is doing good!!!

Well, now the genetics counselor doesn't want me to come in tomorrow since I am not neg. I kinda figured that b/c he was so dead set that I would be neg. in a month and I am not. Will be a month in one week. I know I won't be neg. by then b/c of the way my numbers have dropping. Guess it will save me a 3 hour drive there though

2/3: Methotrexate Injection #1
Chest X-Ray: Clear
2/10: 188
2/11: Methotrexate Injection #2
2/15: Ultrasound showed retained tissue
2/19: D&C #1

Yeah it has been 12 weeks. I guess I am doing alright. Some days have been better than others. I just wish I didn't have to wait until the 22nd to get in to see the oncologist. I am going to call them on Monday to see if they have any cancellations.

Good Lisa, I pray to GOD they have a cancellations ASAP for you to get in there... I'm so sad for you and the frustrations you're going thru

I hope you can get a cancellation appointment with the oncologist for next week, and cut down on some of your waiting. The way the medical system works just stinks. Do they not realize that all the waiting is torturing you? Hugs.

No joke. I guess I should be thankful that my number isn't higher but I am just tired of messing with it all. Haven't really had that great of an afternoon. Just thinking about a lot of things. I feel like I need a good cry but can't b/c of my stupid eye. Probably wouldn't be good on my stitches. Guess I am just going to try and go to sleep!

I got my result from my blood work today. It was 71. I should be happy that it is going down, but it will be 3 months tomorrow since my m/c. I called the oncologist today to see about getting in early but they haven't returned my phone call. Just ready for this to all be over.
