Hi Girls,

I finally feel strong enough to be here and to start thinking about trying again. A week ago it was the last thing on my mind.

Anyway, my OB hasn't told me to wait or anything similar - should we, or will my body just do what it decides to?

I really hadn't thought about it that much but we DTD for the first time after my D&C 2 weeks ago (well, almost 2 weeks!) last night and it occurred to me today that perhaps we should have been more careful!

My betas were still high last week - would that make any difference?

Thanks!
Aitch

Hi and welcome Aitch! Im so sorry about your loss. I was in the Sept DDC with you. My OB told me that I should wait 3 months before TTC. However we have not behaved and followed her suggestion. I feel that if my body is not able to get pregnant then I wont. I know some will wait until at least one cycle. I believe its all a personal preference. I had a natural m/c so Im not able to offer any help after a D&C but Im sure many ladies here will be able to help with that.

I hope your stay with us is short and you get your BFP quick!!

Hugs and hi

I was in the Sept. DDC also.

We were told to wait 3 cycles. We waited 5 days

I think it just depends on the individual person and when they feel ready to try again. We are wasting no time because I'm 41 and every second counts

Best of luck to you sweetie. Hugs.

Hi I am so sorry for your loss.. HUGS... Welcome to the board... We have had three losses... and after each loss.. we were told go ahead and start trying again no waiting.. I had no health issues... and my Dr told me.. you have no increased chance of m/c again... and that your body won't get pregnant unless it is ready.... I would say aslong as you have no medical conditions.. (and medicaly if you are healthy thier is no medical reason to wait after a m/c... ) They tell you wait one cycle for dating the pregnancy... But they have u/s for that now... If you are ready follow your heart... if you are emotionaly ready.. I say go for it... I hope your BFP comes quickly!

Hi and welcome. I wish we could meet under better circumstances. But alas...here we are. I know how you feel. My dh and I dtd recently too not 2 weeks after I stopped bleeding from my last m/c. Part of me wants to have the faith that if we get pregnant that things will be fine, and part of me is so scared...is it too soon? I have asked that very question right here on the board and got pretty good responses. Do what feels right for you, and remember that we are all here for you. We can relate to your journey and we are here to love and support no matter the outcome....but I will personally be praying for a beautiful bfp soon for you!

Hello and Aitch!

Big I'm sorry that you're joinging us, but glad to hear you're feeling good and ready to be here! I was a Sept ddc lady myself and ended up having a tubal pregnancy loss... I'm so sorry that you're going thru a loss! TTCAL is definitely one of the last things on our mind at first, but then that desire starts creeping in once again to TTC that beautiful little one.

There is no medical reasons that you should wait, then I see no need to be more careful altho it is nice to wait until AF comes so you can have something to date from and to allow your uterus to sloff off and build up it's lining. From research that i've come across there's generally no medical reason to wait that it does not increase your chances of miscarrying again. However dr's prefer ladies to wait to allow their emotiona and physical health to improve. Physically like I said before they suggest waiting for the uterus to clean house and build up again to ensure a good implantation the next time. So I've been told.

I also wanted to extend an invitation.... You're more than welcome to join Cycle Group ~waiting to TTC~ if you are in the "waiting" period.

I am so sorry for your loss. I waited after my first two losses and ended up loosing my third in the 2nd trimester so I am not waiting this time. We are waiting until I get a period just so we don't have the added stress of not knowing dates.
