What kind do you use? I picked mine up from Walgreens. It reads in 4 digits.

I have a question about how sleep affects charting.. will getting up in the middle of the night affect the temp reading in the morning? I don't wake up every night, but some nights I wake up 2 or 3 times tossing and turning. I'm using FF and so far my temps have been consistently down in the 97s F. I'm also finishing up with an AF with one unusual symptom: I was completely cramp free. Would that affect the reading too?

I use the Target Brand Basal thermometer, and I love it..

As for the waking up at night as long as you get three hours of consistent deep sleep you are getting an accurate reading.. Also everyone has a different temp coverline.. Mine is normally in the 97's until after I O then it is in the 98's until AF shows.. Wether your body cramps or not would not effect the temp... Good luck hun..

I know you are supposed to get 3 hours... but I work night shifts... and my wake up time is sometimes screwed up.... Sometimes I wouln'd quite get 3 full good hours.. a temp here and thier is ok....

And any BBT is good to go.. I ordered mine off an ebay store... the same place I ordered my OPK/HPT's

I agree with Kary. As long as I get a solid hour of sleep, it doesn't usually effect my temps that much. My temps also run pretty consistent, within a couple of .1 degrees all day long.

I really have no idea how long I sleep between waking up at night because I don't have a clock in my room. My temps were all over the place. I have no idea why they were.

I don't know if I'm getting 3 hours of solid, deep sleep before waking up again. I don't have a clock in my room, so I have no idea what time I'm waking up or going to sleep at night.

My temps don't seem to be consistent at all. Let's hope I at least get cross-hairs this time.
