I had the RE (reproductive endocrinologist) appointment today. It was for this afternoon, but I got a call over the weekend to bump it up to the am which was FINE by me. It ended up being a 2 hour appointment where we talked allot, got allot of history on me, some on DH & my parents... then of course with the losses, my cycles, pain during sex / ovulation / menstration & so much more my head was spinning before we were done. And if that didn't do it then the literally, no bull, 20 viles of blood they took did. She sucked me dry on one arm and had to stick me on my other arm... it literally HURT to give that much blood... never felt like that in all my life when getting blood drawn.
She did say if my levels aren't zeroed out that she wants to treat me with methotrexate injections again, but if they were below 10 then she would wait it out. She wants me to finally be done with the bleeding and to be able to start with the cycle day 3 testing of LH / FSH / estradiol, clomiphene citrate challenge test, response to gonadotropins, the endometrial biopsy, HSG )hysterosalpingogram, & test for ureaplasma urealyticum.
Don't ask me what it all means, they gave me several sheets printed out with the information and what else we're testing for / what it means. The nurse also wrote down everything they were testing me for today with all the blood drawn...

Ok I forgot to add that Dr.F. says my chances for loss are 50%! To... 50% success rate right now... with the ectopic pregnancy & my age. MY AGE??!! She also thinks that my first loss this summer was from ectopic as well, but not properly monitored/diagnosed. Oh, that she was happy that at least this perinataologist was so thourough following/monitoring me so well. She's not 110% leaning towards anything yet... says she thinks I can concieve even tho it took 15 cycles before we did the 1st time.
Dr. F's office is going to be setting up an appointment specifically with maternal fetal medicine to alter my medications or to check for safer ones for me to be on for the fibromyalgia. She's not real comfortable with a couple of them :-/ Told her how I'm supposed to take them and how I actually take them, because of my fears of the "what if's" I under-medicate which makes me suffer on allot of days.
She really wants to help me, I can't tell you how comfortable I felt with her... she was so easy going, technical yet very explainative and THOROUGH! She's leaving no stone unturned even tho she doesn't think it can be certain things she'd rather test for it then to miss it and me suffer any more losses with the emotional, mental trauma our pregnancy losses leave (on us ladies)
***below this was BEFORE I met the Dr****
As I sat there I was so nervous I was in tears...

pulled out my iPod and played bejewled until Dr.F called my name. Did make a little nervous conversation with the receptionist as to how peaceful it was in there. It really was peaceful tho, the energy, it was good... in spite of my anxieties of being there. The anxiousness for this day to come, but the anxieties of what they will find. What steps are going to be taken and yet to come... :x
It was kind cool to hear the excitement in some of the couple deciding whether to try to transfer 2 or 3 then freeze the rest of fertilized eggs, making their appointments for their ultrasounds and so forth... the patients were HAPPY, it was a happy place for them and it made me cry again to be somewhere where these ladies were HAPPY! It made me think they really like the Dr, the staff and how they were being cared for. I'm sure it could have been because it was an "IVF" day as the receptionist had said, but I'm hoping because this Dr is just so good that they're happy to be there.
