Oh no!! I hope you didn't lose anything valuable!! Talk to your home insurance provider. Did you have flood insurance?

Holy Jeebus! That Nor'Easter is really doing a number on the east coast (we had some damage around town like when we have hurricanes) I certainly hope everything is ok and please update us when you can Michelle

Sending prayers and thoughts your way.

I'm sorry. I hope you can get it cleaned up soon and it doesn't get worse. I grew up in ND and it always flooded in the spring. One nice thing about living in TX is that we do not have basements in our houses.

i'm about 20 minutes north of Boston. Just moved into the new house in November. We had a bunch of boxes that we hadn't unpacked yet in the basement so most of that got ruined. My sister is in NJ, they lost power and all there water so she showed up at my house with her 1yr old twins and then our basement flooded. I had 15 people over for dinner because it was my dad's b-day and went to throw something down the basement stairs to go in the laundry. and out of the corner of my eye, i see glistening, and discovered our indoor pool. We managed to pump out the water and have huge fans going. All the stuff that was in the basement is scattered all over our back yard, with the hopes that we can salvage some of it.

Rough couple of days, i'm exhausted. For once, i'm happy i am not pregnant, i cannot imagine what the clean up would have been like if i was preg.

How is everyone else here on the east coast holding up?

Ugh! What a disaster! I hope you didnt lose any pictures or keepsakes.
Years ago we had a fire and had so much smoke and water damage to everything, we lost so much. It really put things into perspective for me. Made me realize the things in my life that were important and the things that were just 'things'. Good luck with the clean up, and saving whats important to you!
