with OPK's that is...Monday and Tuesday I tested and I got a giant positive both days which I thought was rather odd since I thought you were supposed to get only one day with a positive...So I get on to a website about OPK's and it said that you will most likely get a positive on an OPK just about any time in your cycle if you use FMU...well rats, I had no idea you werent supposed to use that...So, luckily I found 2 more OPK's stashed away from 6 months ago and I used one at around 2 today like the website recommended...and the line was darker than the control line but they were both pretty faint... I guess maybe I did it wrong...again! I am so irritated. Last time I got pg I just didnt even bother using OPK's and I got preggo so I think I will go back to that... I am on CD 26 and still not 100% sure if I have O'd yet...Hopefully I have but we will see...

first off - that bit about opk's with fmu is crap. i have been using opk's now for over a year and i dont get a positive with fmu unless it is a postive! what brand are you using? i use either CBE or First Response. remember, there is ALWAYS lh in your urine... but until it surges you wont get a positive no matter what pee you use. believe you me, i have used every pee possible

secondly, i get 3 days of positives every month. some people only get one day, some people get more. i start to bd after it starts to get darker and keep going thru my last positive to when it starts to get lighter.

i know opk's can be a pain, but they really can be a great tool!

Steph first I agree collen... the FMU thing is crap.. The think you have to remember about OPK's is that is measures LH... while yes some women will test and always have a faint line.... that does not mean anything... the Test line has to be just as dark or darker than the control... with that being said... You can very well have two-three days of +'s... depending on how how concentrated your urine is... You could be cathing your surge up... your peak... and your surge comming down.. that is why they say after you get a + STOP testing.. you got a +.... you will release an egg with in 12-36 hours.. So start bd!!! I know it can be frustrating... I used them for 19 months.... Good Luck cathing that egg!

Thanks ladies...That really helps alot...Maybe I wasn't doing it all wrong after all? I dont know...But for some reason I have a feeling I might not have caught that eggie this time due to all the confusion I guess we will see pretty soon though...

The same thing happened to me when I started using OPK's. I just wanted to add that using opk's from 6 months ago may be off unless they were kept sealed (the sticks only last 30 days). I'd say if you bd when you first got a positive opk you are still in the running. I hope you caught that eggie!

OPK's can be very tricky but a pos is a pos no matter when you take it.. I liked opk's I just can't afford to buy them anymore.. bEST of luck to you hun,
