So today is the 6 month anniversary of my D&C after my loss. 
On my drive to work, I pass by two hospitals that are on the same side of the street and only a block apart. The first is the hospital where I was supposed to deliver, and they have all these huge ads with baby pictures all over. The second is the hospital where I had my D&C, so bad memories there. So since I am feeling kind of down today, I decided to just look on the other side of the street for that portion of my drive and not subject myself to looking at the hospitals.
So what do I get to look at???????????
A bunch of abortion protestors carrying a HUGE and extremely GRAPHIC picture of an aborted baby!!!
It was by far the most graphic thing I have ever seen at an abortion protest. By far.
SO not what I needed to see when I am trying not to think about my D&C.

I am so sorry you had to see that today of all days! No day would it have been great to see but on a day that is already pretty sensitive - just not fair. I hope you are doing alright!

I'm so sorry that happened today. It's even worse when you have no idea they are there until you round the corner and there the signs are in your face. That happened to me a few months ago (they were on a corner coming around a turn in the road) and I almost rear ended the car in front of me I was so shocked and horrified. I think that is why they picked that location to totally shock people who didn't see it coming.

OMG...that's horrible....here's my vote. I would drive a different way home, go by the store and get some comfort food and then sit in a warm chair, cover over with your blankie, watch some comforting tv and call it good for the day! Sorry you had to see all that on the way to work. Tell them you don't feel good and take my suggestion. It seems to work ok for me....

Thanks, ladies. Before my loss, I never even thought about how disturbing that kind of protest sign might be to some people. I'm sorry that we all have to understand it so well now.
Seeing that didn't help my mood yesterday, but I definitely did pamper myself a little last night with some takeout and with whatever TV I wanted to watch (sorry, DH  ).
