This is my second m/c and it is not painful at all compared to the first one.. Although I was only at 5 weeks this time (possibly 4w4d). Bleeding lasted only 4 days (which is even less than my regular period).

Bleeding stopped two days ago. Today I'm having light cramping like the one I have on the first day of period..it's not painful but a little uncomfortable....My temperature is normal... I have not had such feeling after my first m/c. I had a complete natural m/c that time. I haven't seen the doctor this time because I am temporary without insurance until May. I keep thinking maybe i had an ectopic pregnancy... Do you think it's possible I need D&C? Can it be just my body going back to normal?

My doctor appointment is in the beginning of May.

I'm so sorry..

I think every pregnancy, and therefore ever loss, is different. I didn't have any cramps when I lost my angel. I've only had one miscarriage though. I'm prone to cramps during af. It doesn't sound like a ectopic to me, but I don't know a lot about those. Good luck!

Hi Natalie!

GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM if you think something is wrong, they cannot deny you treatment because you don't have ins and most hospitals offer a payment plan once the bill comes contact the billing office. Or even ask about patient assistance plans, some may reduce the bill or help you pay.

A loss @ 4wks4ds isn't going to be as heavy as one that is further along which you know as well as each loss is different... like pregnancy and periods are different. So I wouldn't expect this one to be like your previous loss and vice versa. Every slight twinge and feeling can be scarey tho... so like I said if you think anything is wrong go to your local ER and get checked out. It doesn't hurt. Or call your ob/gyn nurse triage, they can help you over the phone to reassure you as well.

IME...
I can tell you personally and also what I've been told by dr's that ectopic are very painful. What sent me to the hospital was an unbearable pain on my left low side that I "thought" was bowel related however it was because my baby was growing in my left tube... I couldn't walk it was so painful which made me call my BFF to take me to the hospital ER. I was in so much pain the doctor in the ER put morpheine in my IV a few different times and after all was said/done/released he sent me home with percocet's because of the pain.

It's very painful what I experienced... far more so than a period, ever. I went thru labor even to the point I had a heating pad on HIGH buring my thighs, but didn't feel it on my left to middle abdomen at all because of the searing pains coming building up and then going down like contrx do... and that was on the pain meds as well. But... this is just my experience ok, you can go to Ectopic Pregnancy Survivors groups or forums and read about others experiences...

I hope perhaps this helps in some way even if it's small. Natalie, don't hesitate to PM me with any questions either if I can help you I will any way you need it... resources, support, etc. Also,PLEASE don't keep yourself from getting checked out because of no ins you need to be taken care of period! There's only ONE of you there honey BIG BIG HUGS!!!

thank you guys! I feel better this morning. I think I'm just getting paranoid about my health after m/c... I will go to the hospital ER if I feel that something is wrong..

i had some cramping after my m/c was complete. i chalked it up to everything settling back where it needed to be. it went away after a few days!

keep an eye on it - if it gets to the point where it is severe, for sure - go to the er!

I think we ALL get paranoid, so don't think you're silly or anything... it's better to be concerned then to blow it off YKWIM

Hope you get to feeling better soon this is a rough time right now, the wounds are still so fresh! So take it easy on yourself
