I had a doc appointment yesterday afternoon regarding my crazy last period and discussing possibly getting on clomid next cycle.
There was no problems with either uterus or the fallopian tubes. No enlargement and no cysts. Great!
Then he mentioned the anatomy part - like I do not know that. He also mentioned the two hormones that are involved (Progesterone + another hormone that I forgot the name of) and how they work together and sometimes may not produce the full force of a period if the hormones are not in sync.

Then discussing clomid - I had a hard time getting in my full sentence this time to make my argument to why he should let me have clomid. But he insisted that I and DH try naturally for the full 6 months from the time I had my delivery which was at Nov 4th 2009. The 6 month mark is May and then if we haven't succeeded then I would get clomid. This is drag but DH has more patience in this matter than I at this point. This is something I have to work on and I think I might have become somewhat obessed with this TTC thing.

Well it is bittersweet news... Great that everything looks good.... not so great about the waiting... I hate that word obsessive when talking about TTCAL.... We are just trying to get "back" what we lost... not we won't get that baby.. but being pregnant.. the security of having a baby.... It will happen... and May is only 50 days away... not too long at all.. we will help get you through it! HUGS!

I'm glad that your results came back looking good. I'm sorry that you have to wait until May for the Clomid. Patience is a hard thing to have when TTCAL. I think we are all a little obsessed, but it is justified. We lost the most important thing to us, and it should be equally important to get there again. Good luck on this next cycle!

It sounds like a GREAT appointment Lovisa!

I'm sorry that you feel a little defeated about the clomid, but think of it this way your doctor is trying to have you go natural for 6 months which is good... clomid does have some possible common & serious side effects, so he's just sticking to a protocol trying to get you there with as little intervention as possible. He does sound like he has your best intrests in mind especially with checking your inner workings letting you know everything looks good. Take it in stride, he did say he'd give it to you tho and like Kary said May is REALLY close!

I know it's easier said than done about taking things in stride, we feel like we're racing against a clock sometimes some of us... I'm really sorry tho hon, hang in there not much longer and praying you conceive BEFORE you even go back to see him

Com'on Lovisa's BFP!!!

Thanks for the encouraging words. I am a little inpatient in this part of my life but I know it will happen again.
Someone mentioned that it is a mental thing - the more you think of it the less it will happen. I am not sure if I wanted to hear that. Unwanted advice from someone that my husband used to work with several years ago that he still talks to (one of his former bosses). Thank the lord that I do not speak with her often but she tries to mean well but come on I did not bring it up with her she did with me at my DH after work happy hour goodbye party. Who really wants to talk about that then? I am just asking. That did not make me very happy for the rest of the evening.

Marti, I wish it too but I think he is the wait and see type of doctor and do not want to interveene with the natural as much as possible. Thank you for being there for me.
