Today was my birthday and I had a great day! I was scared I was still going to be super depressed since trisomy 18 awareness day was only two days ago... but I got to have pho for lunch and sushi for dinner and I got to see a few bands downtown for south by southwest. The best part was I got a brand new macbook! I'm using it right now and I LOVE it!!!
Sorry I had to brag a little, I was just having such a horrible week that I thought my birthday was going to stink. Good news! It didn't!

I am glad that you had a great time with your bday. It's nice to hear when someone actually has a good day on here. Things can get hard and stressful for folks and it's good to remember the good times! Yay for you....glad you had a great one!

Glad it was a good day! I LOVE pho . . . now I'm so hungry!!! I'm going to have to make it for dinner one night this week! (ps Macs are awesome!)

Marti - Glad to hear your day was a good one! My SIL loves south by southwest. We keep thinking one year we will make the drive down but it never works timing/$.

Pho is Vietnamese beef and noodle soup. You get a big bowl of beef broth with rice noodles, onions and really thin sliced rare/raw beef that cooks in the hot broth, and you get a plate with veggies on it (been sprouts, cilantro, basil, lime and jalapeno) that you can add to your taste. It is so yummy and it is one of my favorite meals.
