So we are 4 months into our ttc journey. I started takin Flinstons in Nov bc i was having a hard time swollowing pills. So far im only takin one a day. I recently started takin a folic acid vitamins. Flinstones have 400mg and the folic acid is 400mg. Is that too much folic acid or fine? and also is there anything else i need to take also?

I have been working on my diet such as cutting out caffene completely and trying to eat heathier foods.

I am trying to make this the best start for our bean when we get one!

Any other sugestions are greatly appreciated!

~Kayla

I take whole foods vitamins so the more the better. Here is what I take:
My multi vitamin is also recognized as a food supplement - it has about 400mg of folic acid per tablet and I take the full dose of 2 per day. I also take iron with folic acid and each tablet contains 200mg of folic acid so then I take the full dose of that 3 tablets and get additionally 600mg of folic.
I would suggest that you take:
Your vitamin plus your folic acid addition that gives you double the minimum recommended dosage per day. I would also find a good iron supplement plus calcium.
GL with your TTC journey.

That sounds fine to me.. I compared a Flinstones multi vitamin with a prenatal and prenatals have 800 mg of Folic acid so I took the multi vitamin and folic acid.. I got sick from prenatals so I took the flinstones.. Good luck hun.

I just take a generic store brand prenatal and I also take an extra folic acid every morning. Between the two I get 1000mg of folic acid a day.
