Hi girls. Today was a rough day. I went to the bathroom this morning and saw bright red blood. Not a way to start the day. I went over the Dr.'s and at first they were only going to draw blood but when I asked to speak with the nurse, she automatically got the Dr. and was able to fit us in for an u/s. (Thank goodness, cause if they didn't do that, I was going to the ER) So, the Dr. does the u/s and sees a yolk sac, but no fetal pole yet and no baby yet. She says everything is measuring 5w2d, I thought I was closer to 6w1d. She said that it is still very early and that they want me to come back in next Tuesday for another u/s. The nurse wanted me to come back on Thursday for another Hcg count, but the Dr. didn't. I think I'm still going in to have it done. Waiting another week for an u/s is just torture and if my #'s are dropping, then there's no point to go back on Tuesday. I haven't had anymore blood, just once a tinge of pink of the TP. I haven't been cramping too much.

I've been a lump on the couch all day. I'm trying to stay positive, but it's just so hard. I can't take another loss and I don't know that I can do this again. I know there are many women out there who have been through so many more losses than I, but I just hurt so much from it all. I can't do it anymore. My body can't handle the roller coaster of emotions anymore.

{HUGS} Stephanie, I hope everything turns out ok! Many women bleed during pg. I hope your numbers will go up and keep rising!!!! I am thinking about you! Fingers crossed.

keep positive lady, My sister bleed like she had AF thru 1/2 her pregnancy, and her girls just turned one. It's not over until they tell you it is.

I am so sorry that you have to worry about this right now. A lot of people have bleeding in early pregnancy- it can be normal. I would definitely go for the bloodwork later this week- anything to ease your mind. My thoughts are with you. Hugs.

Stephanie I'm praying that this isn't the beginning of a loss and that you're body is just adjusting to the new pregnancy. I'm so sorry, very very sorry that you're in a scary place right now... spotting/bleeding is very common in early pregnancy so right now there's no telling as to what's going on especially since they think things are growing ok.

I know it's hard right now to not be freaked out, but just take it easy and stay on "bed rest" for now. Take it easy and relax for now, easier said than done I'm sure and that I'm sorry

You could try to pop over to PAL and ask/read some of the ladies experiences with early pregnancy bleeding, might make you feel a little better

Steph it is still SO SO early. I am staying positive for you! When I had my first ultrasound at 7 weeks I was measuring about 4 days behind... it freaked me out. I know when I O'd and I know what i should be. But the ultrasound tech said that it is so early that she is never concerned about someone measuring behind when its that early. She said dating a pregnancy at that stage is not a science and can easily be off by days. This next week will be tough but hang in there. We are all cheering you and baby on!

My first blood count was 13,186 then 2 days later they were 18,357. Obviously not doubling. I have an appt on Tuesday to see what the deal is. It's going to be a long 4 days.

it starts to slow down after a certain # or a certain # of weeks.

I really don't know. By my calculations I should be 6w5d, but when I went to the Dr. Tuesday I was measuring 5w2d.
