Ok so my last period started on March 8th and I started OPK testing on Fri 3/19 it was neg, Sat 3/20 was a very faint line, Sun 3/21 there was a bit darker line, Monday 3/22 there was a solid line but much lighter than the control line, and then I tested again today and no line? My TL never got as dark as the CL...... So did I ovulate? I ordered the tests from babyhopes.com.....

I'm still new at this OPK thing so I can't really give advice. I've been testing every day since CD5 just to see/watch my body. I know that so far once I got a dark, almost as dark as the control line that the tests after that were negative and very faint/light.

you may just have missed the actual LH surge. for some women it is quick and dirty and if you dont catch almost right when it is happening you dont see it at all.

keep testing and see if they continue to get lighter and lighter. if you didnt O, your body may try again and you might catch it the second time.

do you temp at all? if your temp is up that would be proof you o'ed.....

No I don't temp and I took another test and it was completely negative.

It sounds like you did, and you missed the darkest LH surge.. Did you bd around then just to be safe?

with these ladies... that's why I like to test a couple times a day if not 3 times closest to my O time. As the line gets a little darker I will test between 12-2pm and again between 8-11pm so I won't miss the surge. Most women the surge happens in the am, but DOES NOT show until the afternoon. So it's not like a hpt where you use FMU/SMU... it actually take a while for it to show in your urine.

It's 1) quiet possible that your surge happened already, or 2)you might not have O'd altho your body was gearing up to or 3) perhaps you're body is starting to gear up to O. I would go with either #1 or #2 as the possibility.

Next cycle you'll have a cleared idea....

i know that my opks get lighter and darker throughout the early part of my cycle. do you check your CP? if so is it high soft and open? if you don't check it, then i'd just keep BDing to cover all your bases. good luck!!

LOL this is going to sound bad but I can't remember if we BD that day or not.... I was waiting for my DARK TL. Ughhh! Well I am just going to go with I ovulated sometime between Monday and Tuesday and missed the surge with the dark line. At least I know for next time. Where do you ladies buy your OPK? IF AF comes I will order more the day she starts so they are here in time, and which days do you start testing? I started on CD 11.

that happened to me too ... i still ovulated, i just have a short surge. if you start having 'fun' now you still might catch that egg!

I don't know about OPK's... I used them TTC DD and I never got a positive and I got pregnant.... so I refuse to waste money on them again, lol!

But I do know of a few people who were starting to get a positive, then it got lighter, then a few days ago it was a blazing positive! Maybe that is what is happening to you!

i buy my opks from ebay, but make sure you check exp. dates.
