I had a D&C 23 days ago and I'm still bleeding. My Dr. is on holidays..... Is this normal? I thought I'd bleed for 7-10days but this is getting annoying. I didn't even bleed this long when I had my son. Should I be concerned?

I have stopped taking my birth control pill to see if it will help.

Its hard to forget what happened if I keep seeing evidence of it.

After both my d/c and d/e I bled for 2 weeks. Since you mention BCP, the first month I ever took BCP I bled the entire month. I stopped bleeding after i stated my next pack

I think everyone/everybody probably reacts differently and the bleeding is different for everyone. I know you doctor is away but perhaps the substitute doctor could help. I'd give them a call just to ease your mind.

I hardly bled at all after my D&C mostly just spotting a few days. If you think that you shouldn't be I would call even if your doctor isn't in someone should be able to answer questions for you. They might want to do a ultrasound to check and make sure your not retaining tissue

It sounds like a long time, I would call the doctor or nurse on duty. Are you in any pain or have a fever?

i also recently had a d&c on the 10th,bleeed for 1 wk. and spotted for 10 more days,i asked my dr. about how lond for the bleeding he said it could last for 4 wks. good luck i would call like the pp said.

I was induced at 15w4d and ended up needing a D&C about 2 months later exactly due to retained tissue. I bled and spotted a total of 10weeks and 2 days. That is with both being induced and the D&C. I never stopped in between them.
