Ovulation pain supposedly occurs after the egg is released, then your uterus will contract and prepare itself for implantation believe it or not... so there's no telling if it's the hormones trying to prepare your uterus or something else.
I wouldn't count on it, but it's possible! As my perinatologist said... "stranger things have happened"
