My grandma had a stroke several years ago that left her left side paralyzed. Now her good side is paralyzed. My grandma lives in Phoenix AZ. It's been 2 years almost since I've seen her last. My husband has never met her. We're going to head down there to visit her in a couple weeks.
My mom texted me while I was at work. I was only there for 1.5 hours. I had to come home.. I'm not able to hold anything back right now.
No one knows anything yet. I'll update this post when info is passed on to me.

Small Update:
I just talked to my father again who has been talking with other family living near by my grandma.
It appears she is pretty much paraplegic now. She has her head still. She's very alert and still mentally in one piece. She can't type (we used to email back and forth), she can't hold a book up to read it anymore, she hasn't been able to talk on the phone for many years (very hard of hearing), so the only ways to really communicate with her in any meaningful fashion is to either send her letters via snail mail or go see her in person. My family living where she lives has said she is ready to die. She wants to. This is her biggest fear, being totally incapacitated like she is now. She told us, not long after her first stroke, that she hopes if she has another stroke that it takes her.
I'll know more tomorrow after work.
