Monday is coming up and it is normally my blood draw day or at least it has been the last few weeks. Really feel like I keep When some things finally get resolved seems like there are always others things ready to take its place. Never ending!

I still haven't decided if I should go on Monday. My insurance ran out. I have two different drs. writing a letter so I can try and keep my medical card b/c if I can't get it reinstated I don't know what else to do.

I can always buy $1 tests to see if it is positive or neg. but that doesn't give me my exact number. If it plateaus or increases I have to go back on chemo and it will prob. be ACT-D. I asked the oncologist if they could just put me back on the methotrexate so it would go down faster and I wouldn't have to get as many blood draws. She told me the chemo costs thousands of dollars. So that will be another problem but I guess I will have to figure out a way to deal with that when it happens or if it even will. I have thought about only getting the bw done 1-2x a month instead of weekly. That would only be $150-$300 vs. $600.

Another problem I see with me not getting my bw monitored like I should: some other ladies that had a rise in hcg ended up having to get a hysterectomy b/c the d&c didn't work and chemo wasn't helping. I think their hcg may have been in the thousands though and mine was 45 last week. I don't want that to happen b/c I don't have any children. I my as well be shot if that ever happens.

So ladies I need

I know it will only be your opinion and I will have to decide on my own. I just don't really know what I am going to do. All of this is so stinking frustrating.

You ladies are wonderful and I wouldn't know what I would do without you.

I think I would go ahead and get the blood work. If you get the insurance reinstated, will it cover the time period that you were without insurance? If that's the case, you wouldn't have to worry about the bills. And if you end up having to pay them later, you could probably work out a payment plan with the lab or hospital where yo go.

Your health is too important to worry about whether or not you have insurance.

It should cover the bills if it gets reinstated. I know an appeal can take up to a year. The thing is though I don't know if they will approve it or not. They could deny me. I already owe $30,000 in medical bills from a work injury and have been sent to collections b/c they wouldn't accept the payments I could make. I am currently paying about $100-$500 a month now. Sometimes I can't pay certain months. I really can't afford anymore payments. I don't think they will accept $10 a month either. I tried making a payment of $20 to a collection agency and they mailed my check back saying they wouldn't accept it and I need to make more.

If I knew that the appeal would go through fine and they would back pay a whole year it wouldn't bother me to get it done. I don't though.

DH could lose his job at anytime and I will be out of a job the end of May.

I would probably just go every other week. You know that your numbers are going down, just very slowly, and the draws are expensive. Have you asked your Dr if that would be ok?

I just emailed Dr. Goldstein. He is a specialist in this to see what he would say. I don't know if he will email me back though.

I'd probably go twice a month. Or buy PG tests that are 25 MUI and test with them. once they stop showing positive, you'd know it's less than 25...then do another BW. But that's just me.... I had HCG drawn a week after m/c and it was at 150. i never came back to do another BW but i kept testing with PG tests.
But since you case is more complicated, i'd definitely ask doctor if it's ok to do that.

I was hoping to have an email from Dr. Goldstein by now but he hasn't replied. I am not sure what is taking him so long. Wonder what time it is there. He usually responds petty quick to all the other ladies. Maybe he isn't checking his email since it is Easter.
