I was just in the ER with severe abdominal pain.
I told them I was 3dpo and I could possibly be prego
The Ultrasound Tech (I had to get and abdominal Cat Scan) Said I was not pregnant.
I was disappointed.
After the CT scan.
I asked "How do you know Im not pregnant?" (Out of curiosity)
"We tested your urine."
I was like dude, Im 3dpo.. You could disect my urine wit a scapula and the HGC still isnt built up enough to see.
Even tough there is like a 3% chance that if Im prego the baby will have defects.... Im still pretty pissed that they would be soo stupid!

I am sorry. It's strange they did not know that at 3 DPO there wouldn't be anytng to detect in urine yet..Are you feeling better (is your abdomen better)?

Hugs! There is no way you could detect pg at 3DPO. I wouldn't worry about it.

I really hope you are feeling better. I'm giggling thinking of them disecting your urine with a scapula!! How sweet would that be if they could detect at 3DPO??? I would seriously pay a lot of money for that test!!

((hugs))
btw, a scapula is a shoulder blade. I giggled when I read that. I had images of someone using a bone to stir urine.

Well at least you can still assume maybe you are pregnant since the techs are idiots and don't know it wouldn't detect this early (without a scapula, of course ). I hope you are preggo so you can go back there and show them how wrong they were. How are you feeling now?

I'm sorry I wasn't trying to make fun. It just struck me as funny because I read it as shoulder blade and got the visual.

Scalpel would be it....
100's of Ladies go in for CT's... and end up finding out they are pregnant.... and they have healthy babies...
I was 7pdo in Aug when I was brought into the ER for a ruptured cyst... And they tested both my Blood and Urine.. and both were negative. I had the CT... At 9pdo I tested + on an HPT.... I spoke to my OB.. and he said at that early, no problems with getting a CT... since 100's of ladies have a CT and than find out they are pregnant.... He even said that sometimes they have to send women in for CT's for other issues.. not that they like doing it.. but sometimes they have to. (This was said to me because I have a nodule in my lung that they found on that CT)... And it turned out I was pregnant.... so I would have had to be followed up on.
Try to relax.... If you are pregnant... it will be fine!

That stinks! But I don't think one scan is anything to worry about. Good luck with the rest of your TWW!
