I don't know where my head is. Posted before I introduced myself.

So my name is Larissa, I am 30 and have a daughter (Athena) that will be 3 years old this June. I also have a 10 year old stepson.

We lost our baby 3 weeks ago at 12 weeks 3 days. Had a D&C March 17th. Hope to conceive again in maybe 3 months....maybe more since I am a little terrified now.

Don't know how all this works (especially all the abreviations) since I am completly new here so be patient with me.

Hi Larissa. So sad to welcome you to the board, but if you have to go through a loss, this is a wonderful place to be. The ladies here are great. Everyone will tell you, just jump right in, join the conversations, share you happy stories and your sad ones too.
Im not sure of all the abreviations either lol, and I cant remember where I found the post that explains them all, but I can help with a few...
AF- aunt flo (Period)
dh- darling husband
dd- darling daughter
ds- darling son
s/o- significant other
cd1- cycle day 1
dpo- days past ovulation
ewcm- egg white cervical mucus
opk- ovulation predictor kit
frer- first response early result
Ummm there are tons more lol and ladies feel free to correct any I have wrong!

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss of your LO (little one), but I think you will find that TTCAL (trying to conceive after loss) board is full of wonderfully supportive ladies that will help you thru the tough times and good during this journey. It's a rough road to travel and your feelings so soon after loss are normal and that's OK. You'll know when you're ready. In the meantime we'll be here before, during and after for you!

Thank you ladies for all the support I am already getting. Since we didn't tell anyone about our pregnancy nobody knows about our loss which means I don't get to talk about it either (except for my mom and a very good friend). It's really hard. I actually decided to tell some people after our loss just so I could vent about it. Along the way you find out that other people went through the same thing. And that's when I wonder, why wait to tell people your pregnant? When you loose the baby you are going to need all the support you can get.
