So I went to my doc this morning to get my results from my bloodwork back. He tells me that my HCG QUADRUPLED from Saturday to Tuesday. I'm like that makes NO SENSE, because I got AF on SUNDAY (had it from Sunday to Wed). Should it not have been going down??!
So needless to say i'm really perplexed. So I am supposed to go back for another HCG test in a week to see what the numbers are doing. In the meantime obviously i go to walmart on my way home because i'm mental (and i had to go to a store in the same mall to get a baby gift for a girl at work anyways) and i buy two FRERs. because seriously how am i supposed to go a week not knowing if AF cleaned everything out of there??
Here is what I got when i tested the moment i got home with non-FMU:
To compare here is the test from Saturday (with FMU):
I have no idea why the line looks so wonky in the one i just took, but its more like a sequence of dots than a line, but still look how much DARKER!??
What the heck is going on here......

The new FRER's are wonky. They've been giving lots of weird lines like that.
Are you sure it was AF that you had? I'm not sure I know your story. Did you recently have a loss?

Are you sure that was AF? And not just bleeding? Your HCG is certainly rising. Good luck I hope you get some answers!

Sorry you are having to go through this without actually knowing. Did you have a D&C with this last loss or are you still going through it all? You mentioned that they have been checking your beta's. What have your #'s been?

well i just assumed i was losing this pregnancy because i was bleeding heavily. as heavy as a normal period. I lost my first pregnancy at 9 weeks this past February. Here's what just happened in the first cycle that I've O-ed in since that initial loss....
My story:
Tested Sat, April 10 - got faint positive (pictured above)
Tested Sun, April 11 w digi & FMU - got positive result
Sunday evening began bleeding heavily.
Bled heavily Sunday evening until Wednesday, April 14.
Pink/red spotting from Thurs April 15-present (Sat, Apr 17)
Positive FRER April 16 & 17.
So you can see why i am really perplexed, because i had HEAVY bleeding for several days. I still don't really think there is a baby hanging out in there, i honestly dont see how its possible after that but i cant wait to see whats going on with the hcg #'s. My first m/c was horribly painful and i want to get a d&c if this pregnancy is also headed that way....

That happened in one of the ddc's I was in. This lady had horrible bleeding with clots even and she told everyone goodbye that she was miscarrying and low and behold a week later she found a heartbeat with her doppler and she is now like 16 weeks pregnant....so don't count yourself out just yet...especially with the hcg going up so fast....wait and see what the doc says! Good luck!

Seirra - I just want to make sure I understand. April 10th was a new BFP, NOT testing down hcg after a loss.
What does your doctor say about the bleeding? There are several things that can cause heavy bleeding and not lead to a loss, specifically a fibroid, clot or subchronic hematoma. You ovulated the day before me, which would put you at 5w today. I just had an ultrasound on Fri. and we could clearly see the sac.
I hope it turns out good news for you!
Kat.

I would def. have the dr. keep monitoring your hcg. Did your dr. say anything about an u/s? Keep us posted! Another thing that I have heard of is ppl being pg with twins, etc. Someone where I work mentioned a lady that she knew that was pg with twins or triplets. She bled and had huge clots so she thought she had a m/c. A couple months later she ended up going back to the dr. and found out she was still pg and lost one. (Not saying that is your case but it is a possibility)

They need to check you out a little more because something doesn't sound quiet right with all of this... it could have been ectopic, retained tissue, etc... a new pregnancy who knows! But they need to get in there and do some investigating!!!!

Your Dr needs to do an U/S.... If you were 9 wks... (even though that one FRER is very light...) (I would think if you are pregnant again this may be a new pregnancy, by just how light that first FRER is) BUT If the baby is still their they should be able to see, if it is still the pregnancy from Feb, If you indeed had a m/c and have retained tissue.. they will be able to see that also... If it is an etopic they will be able to see your tubes. I would call and see if they can see you when you get blood work..
So please kup!!!! HUGS

Right - the test April 10 was a new bfp. My HCG from the previous loss was gone, and the retained tissue was gone as well (I had a full week long period & tested negative on hpt afterwards). Could they see a yolk or fetal pole, or embryo of any kind in the sac? i'm so nervous to go in for a u/s because i'm afraid they wont be able to see anything if its too early and i will be even more nervous than i am now!

They were really only looking for a sac - I am on Lovenox and needed to confirm that it was not ectopic. I think you should ask your doctor about an ultrasound to confirm.
I will be thinking about you.
Kat.
PS - I have not joined the DDC yet. I won't until after I have a good ultrasound on 5-12.

I would ask for an u/s when I go back for more b/w. It seems like a new pregnancy. As previously posted the bleeding could definitely be from lots of things. My friend's sister had what she thought was a m/c and it turned out that she had been carrying twins but lost one. The other is now a happy 4 year old!
Please KUP.
