1) What are the must have's for TTC that you suggest to newbies... books, tests, thermometer's, etc?

.

2) Name something that excites you about TTC and name something that disappoints you about TTC... (we know the obvious ones)

hmmm....

my suggestion for what people absolutely need is Patience. That is key. I remember thinking that it would happen right away; and here I am, over 1 yr later, 5 mc's under my belt and no baby.

I think that the hardest thing about ttc, especially after loss is realizing that you have no control. You can do everything correctly and still not have a great outcome.

  1. BBT (basal body thermometer)
  2. Fertility Friend VIP (paid version way better IMO)
  3. Clear Blue Easy Fertility monitor (& test sticks)
  4. inet cheapie opk's (Wondfo brand my fav)
  5. inet cheapie hcg strips (Wondfo brrand)
  6. prenatals (Rainbo Light)
  7. lotsa, lotsa WATER

.

1) Excites = after AF leaves and the game is ON
2) Disappoints = when something prevents BD'ing during the fertile period

OPK's
Prenatals/folic acid
Lots of HPT's on hand
the book Pregnancy after a loss (Lots of great info on TTC in there)

.

Anticipation is both exciting and disapointing

My essentials for TTC:

1. BBT thermometer
2. Fertility Friend
3. Internet Cheapie OPKs
4. Internet Cheapie HPTs (for giving in to any POAS whim)
5. Prenatal Vitamins

What excites me about TTC? TBH, not much anymore, but I do still like the anticipation of the TWW.

What disappoints me about TTC? I HATE waiting to ovulate, since I have a big window of ovulation days, and every day that passes between CD19 and CD34 without ovulation makes me more and more frustrated.
