Ok so I have tracked only my temperature daily now for this whole cycle that started I think on 03/26/2010. I feel that the temperature is fluctuating heavily. I do my temp taking orally under my tongue close to the base.
If you are tracking your temperature how do you track it? Orally, your private part or your scrotum? If you have tried more than one way which worked the best for you?

I take mine orally. It will be low if I was sleeping with my mouth open. I usually close my mouth for a minute and re-take it if I suspect that. My temps will fluctuate from 96.5 to 97.2 pre-ovulation, and from 97.5 to 98.2 post-ovulation, so there is some variability. How much difference are you talking about?

If you look at my chart where I track my BBT every morning you will see. Perhaps I feel it is a bit all over the place but it may not be: 2de406 Ovulation Charts

Natalie, thanks for your answer. I read on fertilityfriends.com that it could be taken vaginally as well but that temperate was a bit higher than orally. I think for next cycle that I would do it rectally.

You're welcome. Yes, temps will be higher than orally but it's ok since you should be able to see a very good pattern (I used to chart with oral temps and they fluctuated much more than rectal temps).
