Any new movies you've seen lately that you'd like to give a quick rundown or review about?

Any favorite older movies that you'd like to share and give ideas to others looking for a good flick to watch this weekend?

Let's hear 'em ladies... it's the weekend and we need some good movies to watch!

time for some brain "junk food"

While not necessarily older, some of my favorite movies lately have been The Blind Side, Sherlock Holmes, and for kids but we adults also loved it, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs (such a cute movie). Pelham123 was good...good acting and full of suspence, but full of language. A little on the racy/language side was The Hangover, but SO funny.

Two I loved but will never watch again because I was depressed for WEEKS were My Sister's Keeper and Time Traveler's Wife. Time Traveler's Wife is one of my all time favorites but too sad to ever watch again. lol

I think we are going to rent Avitar tonight to see what all the hype is about.

We saw G.I. Joe last night, that was actually pretty good. I think it got bad reviews because Transformers was better. But it was good, go in with low expectations you can't be disappointed .
New in Town is a good feel good movie.
We are on a movie kick lately with netflix .
Ugly Truth was good and so was The Proposal for chick flicks.
I am so going to get Avatar tomorrow. I didn't know it was out on video already. Glad I checked this thread .

How much is netflix? I went to blockbuster for the first time in forever and it was almost $6 for a movie...My husband rents from them almost every weekend..I used to just rent movies off of cable, but i'm always getting an error message and I don't feel like calling them....I just hate that blockbuster is so much...Last time I rented from them they didn't have late fees and now they are a dollar a day.

Last night, DH and I went to see How To Train Your Dragon in 3D and it was a really good movie. Both DH and I liked it a lot. I'm still not as impressed with 3D as I thought I would be. We watched Avatar and now this movie in 3D and I'm not sure we would pay the extra money again.
