You can get fertile CM many days or times thru any cycle... it doesn't automatically mean you're going to ovulate, but it is a good indicator as your hormones help change the consistancy of your CM in preperation for O time and pregnancy.

Ovulating CD14 if the most common day for women to ovulate in a 28 day cycle, your day of ovulation can fluctuate from cycle to cycle but it will generally happen at the same time each cycle depending on your length of cycle, length of luteal phase.

So for me I usually have about a 29 day cycle my O day can happen between CD14-CD16, but usually happens on CD 15. However after MC my cycle becomes longer and so I ovulate later... like one cycle it was 35 days and I O'd on CD21/22, or on a 60 day cycle I didn't ovulate until waaaay later like in the 40's. It's not uncommon to have longer cycles after a loss that gradually shorten coming back to norm within 3-6 months post-loss.

Does this help?

Shooooot, there's NO silly question~!

Temping / charting can help you understand your cycle, but it won't tell you when you ovulate until later when you can see a pattern. This is a great tool tho as it can help us understand our cycle patterns and get to know our bodies rythems.

OPK's are great as in they well help you see your LH surge leading up to ovulation. So they're helpful as well.
