HI ladies,
Sorry I haven't replied to many posts lately. Been reading them on my phone in the car when DH drives and couldn't remember my password to login.
With my first loss (at 16w), I went right back to my OB and he started weekly blood tests to check my HCG. I got my AF as soon as the levels got to 0 (at exactly 5 weeks after I delivered the baby).
This time, the hospital has started encouraging clients who are miscarrying to go to a certain miscarriage clinic. I was my OB's first client to do this and it was an awful experience!! I would not wish it on my worst enemy. Anyway, the Gyn there would not do the weekly blood work so I had no idea what my levels were. An US on March 19 showed almost everything was gone -- about 98% clear. (I lost the baby on Feb 23).
Anyway, I got my first AF (or so I thought) exactly 5 weeks after I lost the baby -- same as last time. It was definitely AF like -- spotting, bleeding lasted 6 days. We BDed for the first time (and only time since DH left town for 3 weeks on business) on CD 8. The following week, I went for my 6 week F/U appt with my OB and he started testing my blood HCG levels. They said they will call when they reach 0 -- not to call them.
I have not heard from them so that means they are not at 0. Had my second draw this past Friday so I assume they will get the results tomorrow.
I started reading up on it yesterday. From what I have read, you can't get AF until your levels reach 0. So what is going on?
I really hope I am not prego because I have been drinking a half glass of wine a few times a week. I think that CD 8 would be too early to get preg so I don't think there was much of a chance. I really don't want to ruin another pregnancy. If it was AF, then today would be CD 29. I have been cramping the past couple of days.
The OB told me not to TTC until after the U/S to check the fibroid which was scheduled for tomorrow. I had to reschedule because Dh's grandma passed away last week and the funeral is tomorrow. The test is now scheduled for May 11. If AF does come in the next couple of days, then we probably won't be able to TTC in May because the U/S should be around O time.
Thanks for reading another long email.
