Hi Ladies!

I usually post in the TTC group but thought that (unfortunately) my question would be more appropriate here.

I'm Linda - by the way - and DH and I have been trying for number two since december 2008.

Anyway I tested positive beginning of March but had an emergency operation on the 26th of March (just short of what would have been 8 weeks) where they also removed my right tube due to ectopic pregnancy. The thing is that the doctor here (I live in Bolivia) tells us to wait 3 months before TTC again and she even wanted me to take birth control pills - I refused that though. My mother used to work for a gyn and he said to her there is no point in waiting for several reasons; it's probably going to take longer anyway and I'm not getting any younger

Therefore my question; how long where you recommended to wait after a mc or similar?

I didn't have an etopic, but I Had a D&C at 15 weeks and my doctor told me it was safe to start trying 6 weeks after my D&C.

I had a m/c at 7w4d, the doctor told me to wait until I had 1 regular period, then to go ahead and try again.

I had an ectopic in January. They caught it early enough and I was able to keep my tube. It actually never fully attached, and it was able to be removed via laproscopic surgery. I was told to wait one period.

Exact same thing here.

I just had an ectopic loss... I had methotrexate shots no surgery altho they were threatening me with it many times. I had to wait a while because I bled for 60 days after metho shots.

BFN 1st cycle and now I'm on cycle 2 post-ectopic.
