My name is Lauren, wife to Jay, and we have 1 child, Wesley and a dog, Louie.
My pregnancy and delivery with Wesley was tough, but he was perfect. When he turned 6 months, we decided I would not take birth control any longer. We got pregnant right away. I had a chemical pregnancy, then what I thought was a normal pregnancy. My numbers doubled, I had a ton of symptoms, no bleeding or cramping...but when we went in for my first u/s at 10 weeks, I saw the baby had died. She measured 7 weeks, 4 days. Since I did not miscarry her on my own, the doc told me I needed a D&C, which I had a week ago today. It has been more difficult than I could have imagined.
I wish I could be pregnant now. We are unsure about how long we will wait, but we both really want another child. We grew up with siblings close in age, and we wanted that for Wesley.
Here are some pics of my lil' man.
And Louie (my other baby)

I am so sorry for your loss. I am new here too and find it tough to welcome newcomers because I know it comes with a sad story. Your little boy is absolutely adorable.

Thank you.
In a way, I am glad it was a missed miscarriage. My chemical pregnancy was rough (bleeding, cramps), and I imagine this pregnancy would have been much worse. I am glad I ended up with the D&C.

Wesley is absolutely adorable!!!!! I am so sorry to hear about your loss. We, too, started trying to get pregnant with our 2nd 6 months after our first was born. We also struggled with pregnancy loss but our 2nd child was born when our 1st was 19mo old. It was been wonderful having them close together. Good luck to you as you try for #2!
