Hello everyone!

I was in here a lonnnnnggg time ago! I learned that I conceived my first child back in September 09 but didn't find out until after taking my first Depo Shot EVER in November 09. Unfortunately Feb 11 2010 I went into early labor and our baby boy didn't make it. I haven't gotten back on any forms of BC and have not taken any action to prevent pregnancy. My hubby and I have gotten busy with work and school BUT I have a desire to have another.

My cycle hasn't been regular at ALL. I spot sometimes and I THINK (not sure) that I MAY (or may not) have had a period two weeks ago. This week, I have been having sore breasts, and nausea here and there, and fatigue. I go to the doctor on Saturday but I don't want to psyche myself up to think I'm pregnant again.

I only had that one Depo Shot in November so I'm not sure how long I'm going to have to wait for things to get back in order. Any help on getting back on track to start TTC?

I answered you on the TTC board...I don't know anything about depo, but I got pregnant just 2 1/2 months after my baby was stillborn, so it's possible to get pregnant again pretty soon...I would ask your doctor about your irregular cycles.

Thanks! I read Depo can really mess up the cycle since it's injected and not orally used but I only used it once so I'm not sure. I'll speak with my doctor this weekend to see what I can do to get them regular again.

I was on depo for waaaaay to long (13 years). It stays in your system for 12 weeks, minimum so it probably would not have worn off until end of Jan/Middle of Feb. depending on when in the month you got it. It can then take up to 6 months to get AF after that. I was fortunate, my next injection was due Jan. 09 and I got my first AF in May, but it was very, very, very light flow. *TMI warning* It was very thick and dark, def. old blood. The next one was similiar, but thinner and the 3rd one (cycle I got pregnant) was closer to normal, though still very light.

The other really weird thing is that while waiting on AF, I could have SWORN I was pregnant. Huge, swollen, sore bbs, bloated, moody - it was like PMS on steroids. If you google it, it is pretty common. It probably means that your next AF is getting close. It is your hormones resetting themselves.

My doctor told me to start taking folic acid and an OTC prenatal, as the extra vitamins will help level out your homones. I have also read that B-complex in addition to the prenatal will help.

Good luck!
