I have been lurking for a couple of weeks now. I miscarried on 4/25. My feelings about the m/c have fluctuated along the way. I feel blessed that I have two boys at home, especially with the struggles we endured to conceive our first son (6 cycles of IVF). I thought that focusing on the positive would help me "get over" the fact that I lost this pg'y. I had been doing ok until today. I had my b/w done (will hopefully get the results tomorrow). I feel like finding out that my HCG is at 0 finalizes everything. I feel so sad, empty and confused right now. My DH wants to try for another and at first I didn't want to seeing as we do have difficulty (I'm down a tube from a previous ectopic). Now I feel like I want to, but don't want the stress, uncertainty and devastation of not getting pg. I really needed to voice these feelings. Thank you for giving me a place to do so.

I do have one question. I took Misopropal (sp) to miscarry. I began bleeding on 4/6 before even taking the meds. Took the meds 4/24 and miscarried 4/25 and am still bleeding is this normal?

Thanks again!

How heavy are you bleeding? MC's are funky, i've had some where i barely bled and and others that i thought would never stop. I wouldn't say that you are abnormal but if you feel uncomfortable, i would give your doctor a call just for piece of mind.
as far as the emotional roller coaster you are on right now, between wanting and not wanting to ttc again, TOTALLY NORMAL. Give yourself some time, you will know what is right for you.

I am glad you reached out to us, we are here for you! I am so sorry for your loss honey... It is so sad. And your feelings are going to be all over the place for a while. Do what is good for you at that moment. Try to baby yourself a little. It does get easier but takes time.

Thanks for the replies mm and missy!

The bleeding is light at this point. I guess I'm just antsy. I don't want stuff coming out of me anymore. I have a follow up with my Dr on the 19th. b/w came back at 24, so I'll have to go again next week.

Spirits are a bit higher today. I guess it's all still sinking in...

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm not sure what is normal after a mc. It seems everyone on here has a different story. I'm sorry you've had to go through all this.
