I've had 2 early miscarriages. I suspect I'm preggo this cycle and I'm going to start using progesterone cream tomorrow. 1/4 tsp 2x daily. Does this sound like a decent dose to you? Just to try to hold on to the pregnancy. I will discontinue use if I get my AF or BFN.

Also, I'm planning on using the cream until I'm 15 weeks or so, I know the placenta takes over production of progesterone but better to be safe than sorry, right!?!

Thanks and baby dust to all!

I don't know anything about that. I had 2 early miscarriages back to back and I thought of that, but it was my thought that you had to get it from a Dr... Is that the case?

I just bought mine at whole foods. They have it at alot of health food stores and online. The one I got is called Source Naturals Natural Progesterone Cream. It was about 20$.

Idk if you guys have a health food store or GNC near you but they both sell it

I hope it works for you. I'm taking 100mg of prometrium twice daily since 3dpo, it's worked so far

I hope it works for me as well. I had a blood test on Friday for progesterone levels but I haven't found out the results yet. I decided to start the cream anyway and quit it if my AF arrives.

I had suspected I had low progesterone but I was tested and it was 26. That was at 7dpo. So I guess its ok.

I have heard of women taking the over the counter kind the whole pregnancy. Its suppose to be safe throughout.

I've read really good things about progesterone cream. The book I read was "What your doctor may not tell you about pre-menopause." by John Lee. Obviously I'm not thinking I'm heading into pre-menopause, but it was very informative about our cycles, and the different hormones, and had quite a bit of info on the benefit of progesterone for a woman trying to get pregnant.

So, last summer, we'd been trying for 6 months, so I decided it can't hurt, why not try it. I got pregnant that cycle! Unfotunately, the baby died at 14 weeks, but it was unrelated to the progesterone (I was still using it at 17 weeks when we found out.)

Anyway, we're ttc again, and I've used the progesterone cream the last 2 cycles and have not gotten pregnant yet. But overall, I think it's one of those things that certainly can't hurt, and might help! You can find natural progesterone cream at health food stores and online.

I'd really suggest reading the book though. I learned alot from it!
