SO, they are changing my clomid days from 5-9 to 3-7, any have their RE do this? and why? I had my day 3 U/S this am, they said it looked "great". Could that have anything to do with it?

Ok thier is some discussion of why they do this. My OB prescribed it 5-9 I did that for 2 cycles.. I than decided to change it to 3-7 on my own (since this is what my RE would have done).... On days 3-7 they say you can have more eggs released. 5-9 they say you have stronger eggs just not as many. On 5-9 I had smaller follies.. so I did a little investingating on my own and they some articles said the 3-7 while you may have more.. they will be bigger and stronger... Most RE's do the 3-7 while from, what I read OB's (that are not into the hardcore fertility ) due the 5-9 less chance of multiples.. but they still list the 8% chance of twins..

I'm sure Michelle wouldn't mind multiples! I know I wouldn't! Best of luck honey, I don't know anything about Clomid, but it sounds like Kary gave you some good info. Hopefully this is your cycle!!!

when i took clomid it was always on CD3 to CD7. My OB told me they have had greater success with the earlier dosage. It worked for me, but sadly ended in M/C. Hope it helps you!! good luck!
