So we are waiting for me to be cleared by my surgeon for my tumor. He said if she clears me that he wants to go ahead and do a cd 1 u/s to check on my cysts and if they look good then we can go ahead and start clomid and shots to prepare for insemenation. I got alittle scared by that. Its so soon. I guess I was shocked he wanted to just jump in and start with this. LOL He said it would cost about a $1000 a cycle and that I had a good chance of this working because of my previous pregnancy's.

I am nervous about this. It seems I react to any type of meds so I am worried about side effects of shots and clomid. Does anyone have experience with this?

I wonder why he doesnt want to try just clomid first? I guess its because I do ovulate.

I am nervous. I dont know why. I guess I am scared of the meds and then scared that I will have another miscarriage.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Oh and one other thing. I feel weird going in for an u/s on cd 1. That is going to be gross. Has anyone had to do this? Ugggghhh

I have only had experiance with the clomid.. I was on 50 mg... the side effects were not all to bad and very tolerable. As for the u/s.... I can't help you with the CD1... but when I had an appt with my RE I was still spotting from my last m/c... and yes I was taken back.. when I said to him I am still spotting.. He said thats ok.. I guess we are not used to it... but they are.

I can only feel your emotions right now.. being given the green light.. and having him throw you on the horse.... I can understand how scary that is.. Just know no matter what.. we will be here to hear you, support you, and get you through to your BFP! HUGS

I have been having Ultrasounds on CD2 CD3 and/or CD4... They are used to it so I wouldnt be concerned.

Sounds like your RE is being super proactive and not wasting your time or your money. I like your doctor!!!

Clomid sucks... The side effects are too numerous for me to list.... some girls feel nothing.... but ya know what - it is worth it! To watch the follies grow during the cycle is almost as exciting as a BFP. (key word almost)

If you are not ready for all that then tell your doctor, but it sounds like an awesome plan and I am excited for you.

It sounds like they're beeing very proactive, but you could always ask what are all the options and then go from there. Don't be scared, at least you know what to expect and the success rates are good

Thanks ladies.

I talked everything over with my dh and he really is not ready to jump to this yet. I think if it were just my decision, I would. He just isnt ready I guess. He thinks its just giving up but I dont see it that way. I told him with our age we may need alittle help.
The good thing is that I have very good cm right now that I have not had in a long time. We bd as soon as he got home from work so this is a good sign. I hope we catch the eggy and dont have to do IUI.

So at this point we are going to pray and think on this more before jumping to IUI.

I had no SE on 150 mg of clomid but all of them on 50 and 100 mg. So you see, every cycle can be different even for the same women. Most women do just fine on 50 mg. I hope you get your sticky soon!
