Does anyone get bloating around ovulation? I know I get it when AF is here but never during ovulation, unless I have just never paid attention to it before. I feel so full and blah and up 8 pounds just since Monday!! No way is heck have I eaten that much crap to put on 8 pounds in 4 days so it has to be water. I also feel swollen in the vaginal area as well. Just feel wierd this cycle which might be a good thing but I wish it would feel better!

I'm sorry about the bloating! It must be uncomfortable. Hopefully it is a good sign for this cycle!

Hey Becca! I always get bloated around O time. I look like Ive already conceived with all that darn bloat. Lasts all the way to AF most cycles! I think actually, now that I think of it, Ive only got about 6 good days of non-bloat days lol!!

I'm back! You poor, poor women!

Anyway, my Mum and I have been working on this for a number of years and there is bloat for every day. Consider that she had a hysterectomy at 30 so doesn't have the O or AF bloat excuse. Types of bloat include:

Airplane bloat: the bloat caused by travelling on a plane for 20 minutes or more (air stewardesses suddenly seem even skinnier!)
Wine bloat: Bloat induced by 2+ glasses of wine the night before
Pasta bloat: bloat induced by pasta the night before
Bread bloat: bloat induced by bread the night before (probably consumed BEFORE the pasta at an Italian restaurant).
Wedding Bloat: the bloat induced by the threat of a wedding be it your own or one at which you are to be a guest.

Seriously, there's a list for more than one of every day of the month....

But yes, I bloat around ovulation though I don't use that as a good indicator given bread, wine, pasta, lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and anything I can possibly attribute said bloat to!

Not helping much am I?!
