OMG!! I'm so excited and happy that we went. My Dr. is awesome!! He's ready to get the ball rolling with out wasting too much time! He was so sympathetic about my previous losses. He seemed genuinely upset about the loss of the girls. It made me feel warm inside, IYKWIM?
Anyway, I couldn't have planned it better. Today is CD2 for me and he said that he could do my CD3 blood work today! He did blood work on DH too. He also said, that right now we seem to be perfect candidates for IVF with PGD. Follow this link for further info:
PGD Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis NY Fertility Center
I go back on Monday for an u/s on my uterus and ovaries. Then on Wednesday DH and I go to the genetics counselor. Then, we go back next Friday for the consult in more detail about the IVF w/ PGD. I also have to make an appt with a High Risk OBGYN for a pre-conceive consult to see what their plan on action would be in case I get pregnant with multiples (which there is a possibility) and to see about putting in a cerclage.
The Dr. talked to us, like we were people and kept saying he "recommends" everything. He said he recommends cause in the end, it's our decision on EVERYTHING. We decide if we want to do the IVF w/ PGD and how many embryos get implanted and how to go about it all. Right now it looks like July when everything would be really started cause they make a specific scope that is made for my body to do the process and that takes about 8 weeks.
Timing couldn't have been any better. Did I mention I'm excited?
