Seriously, I can't take this anymore!!!!! My bleeding has been pretty good, it almost stoped the other day and I cancelled my doctor's appointment (I still have one for this friday)...I thought that it was going to be done spotting in the next day or two...Well just now it started gushing again with some clots...It's not a bright red blood like before, but it's red enough to worry me...I won't be going back to the hospital, but I will be calling in the morning if it doesn't stop...I mean really, is it possible to need 3 D&C's?

You poor thing. I really hope you don't need a third D&C. I hope this was the final bit and you can be done bleeding now. I'm thinking of you.

Three D&Cs seems to be a bit excessive to me. But then I don't really know to be sure. I would be concerned that something else was going on. I hope the bleeding stops soon.

I'm so sorry Megan! I can't believe you are bleeding again. Are you calling your new Dr. or the one you are leaving? If you're calling the old one, be stern about being seen ASAP. They need to make sure there is nothing going on. I bet the nurse will just tell you that it's AF. I hope everything subsides soon for you.

I am so sorry Megan...I hope you can get things resolved quickly. It would be horrible to be bleeding that much. It makes healing so much harder, and I am talking about the emotional kind...not to mention the physical kind. Good luck and hang in there.

I haven't gotten a new doctor yet...I haven't had my follow up appointment and I also haven't gotten my medical records yet (Not sure why it's taking so long)....I'm keeping an eye on it and if it becomes bright red and really bad I will go in...I'm not sure my body can take much bleeding...I'm still not myself from last weekend...I was so happy that the bleeding was almost gone It's going on 6 weeks and i'm so DONE with it.

This time it could be that you are starting your period.

I'm so sorry you are going through all of this. I haven't heard of anyone getting 3 d&c's so I really hope that isn't necessary.

is it possible to start a period this soon after a 2nd D&C? I'm now almost 6 weeks past the first one...My pregnancy tests (at least the HPT's) were negative even with retained tissue...I was thinking that today, I wonder if it could be my period? Any way, it's slowed down a lot, it was just heavy again for a short time...Oh the stress! UGH

I am glad it slowed down for you. I have never heard of AF right after a D&C like that, but that doesn't mean that it is impossible.

well right now the bleeding does kind of look like AF, but it started that way last time...I wonder if the time from D&C to AF is shorter if it's a D&C for retained tissue? It's just annoying because this is how it started last time, plus I have my fertility monitor and I need to use it at my first cycle.

I'm really hoping that was AF for you and am happy that it has slowed down. I know you're excited to use your monitor, but with having the 2 D&C's done, maybe you should wait a month before starting to make sure your body is healed well. That's just my opinion.

Hugs! I would defiantly follow up with the doctors right away. Just to make sure something serious isn't going on. Hugs!

I didn't have a D&C, but I bled for over 60 days not counting the spotting days. Can totally feel your frustration and fears, it is not fun

I would think that your uterus is trying to sloff off and trying to rebuild your lining after having 2 D&C's. I'm sure some spots are thicker than others and not sure if that would make you to continue to bleed off and on or not. I would ask, it never hurts to be sure. Did they treat you with antibiotics post D&C's to ward off possible infections?

I wasn't given any meds to ward off infection but I did stop bleeding after three days then go on to have a "normal" period 6 weeks later. I say normal in that they normally last 2 days and are really light but this was longer and heavier.

Have you had continuous beta testing? What are the numbers?

I've not been around for a while but if you're still having positive betas (or they haven't been testing), perhaps that could be a cause for concern?

I'm sorry that's still happening! I did an experiment after my D&C. I started charting the next morning. I wanted to see what my body was going to do. Now in your case where you got the second D&C I don't know if your temps would have still gone down because of the HCG going down...I never had betas after the D&C but my temps plummetted...rose again two weeks later...and I started my period two weeks after that...but my doc said that's not always the case, so that's why I charted. Just in case something different happened. If your betas are negative, and you chart (assuming you were regular before) and this is your period, your temps might go up if you ovulate in two weeks? I don't really know, I'm just guessing. I'm glad it's calming down for now and I hope they have answers for you soon!
