How long did it take to stop bleeding? I had a D&C 15 days ago for a missed miscarriage. I bled pretty heavily, lots of clotting, etc for about a week. After that, it's just been spotting up until yesterday. DH and I dtd on the 19th (Wed) and yesterday evening I started bleeding again. Nothing major; not soaking pads or anything, but I am just surprised. Lots of clots and tissue...it seems weird to me to be bleeding again, I don't think it's AF because I think it would take longer to ovulate, right? Anyone have a similar experience?

I haven't stopped bleeding yet but I heard you can ovulate at some wacky times after a m/c. In my thread she said she ovulated on CD3. If you ovulated that early it could be AF. I would call your doctor if you are concerned, mine said if I started bleeding heavily straight through a pad an hour that it was a cause for concern but I am not sure about 15 days later. GL KUP.

I actually just stopped this week, just past the 6 week mark...I ended up having to have a 2nd D&C for retained tissue....Keep an eye on your bleeding and if it gets bright red again I would call your doctor.

After my D&C for a missed m/c I bled for a little under 2 weeks and got my 1st AF 22 days later. My first AF lasted for over way over a week.

I didn't have a D&C and had a very early loss. My bleeding and passing clots was done about 4 days after it started.

I started bleeding 4/6, diagnosed with missed m/c on 4/13 - miscarried with misopropol on 4/25, finally stopped bleeding 5/14. Everyone is different, but I would not hesitate to call your Dr. with any concerns.

I had an early m/c on may 3, didn't need a d&c. i bled heavily for about 6 days, then had another 2 days of spotting.

I would call your Dr. You might have some retained tissue and need to have a 2nd D&C. I only bled for a couple of days after my D&C's and then went on to have AF about 28 days later.

With my first m/c in January I bled for over two weeks and got my af 43 days after I first started bleeding. It was a very early pg, I think I was about 4 weeks along. With my last one I bled heavily for 1 day. I freaked out and went to the ER but then I had light bleeding/spotting for a week. With this one I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum at 9 weeks.

I wonder if you just had some leftover blood clots/uteral lining that finally made its way out. Hopefully that's the last of it.

Megan did they do a hystrascopy (sp) where they look around inside after the d&c to make sure its empty?
I just had a d&c today, I was 9+weeks with a blighted ovum. If I remember last time I only bled for about a week, like a light period. I was told to expect the same thing this time.

I bled for about a week and then got AF five weeks later.
