The Dr. spoke at length about the IVF w/ PGS process and answered all of our questions. I have to get some more blood tests, one being to check my homocysteine levels and one to check to see if I have Mediterranean anemia. No big deal on that. The Dr. recommends only transferring 2 of the healthiest embryos, but I kind of want to transfer one more. I'm not 100% sure on that yet. I want one more kind of for an insurance policy so that there's just a little more % of at least one sticking. I would hate to go through the whole process and none of the embryos implant, KWIM? I know, I know, all three could implant, and all three could split. I've been running it through my head and like I said, I'm not 100% right now. Anyway, the Dr. said we should have at least 50% of the embryos being very healthy. His average for egg retrieval is about 10 - 12 eggs so that should give us plenty. He told us that it does vary and he recently just took 54 eggs from on women!!! OMG!!! That's a lot!! Also, we get to know the day of transfer of what we could be having!! Right from the start DH and I could know if it's a boy or girl or one of each! I don't know if I want to know that early. To me that's just an extra 20ish weeks of shopping. DH and I discussed and we might find out on transfer day and not telling anyone else, or we might not find out. We haven't really decided yet. We got all our paperwork and are waiting to hear from the women about our insurance and how much out of pocket cost we're going to have. We're going to start in July. I want to wait until after our party for the 4th of July and AF should be here around the 9th of July, I get started on CD1. So we're taking a month and a 1/2 off from TTC right now. It's a nice little break from testing and waiting and all the TTC fun stuff.
