Not really sure what to think about all of this.
Still not negative, but it is at 5.06 now. Looks like I won't be negative by my edd. I had my 5th chemo treatment today. I am super tired right now. Chemo went alright. I had them switch hands with the iv b/c my right hand is still a little sore from 2 weeks ago.
I talked to the dr. today. I got my IUD out! They gave me the third degree about it. This one dr. said this about 4 or 5 times.
Dr.: Do you want it?
ME: yes!
Dr: you realize you could die.
Me: I know, but I don't want it in anymore.
Dr.: Are you sure, if you get pregnant there is no way of knowing if it is molar tissue or a new pg and you could die from this. The baby could end up birth defects b/c of all the medicine you are on.
Me: Yes, I am sure. We can use condoms
Dr.: Condoms break and people don't use them like they are supposed to
Dr.: So having the IUD in there is worse than death (he was telling this one girl that was in there prob. a student to ask me this)
Me: Yes, I want it out.
Then he kept asking me that last part again and told that girl to put it in my chart that having the IUD in there is worse than death.
So ya, not sure who he really was. Then a female dr. came in. One that I have seen for this before. She doesn't seem concerned at all about my number going up. Said she wants me to have 3 weekly negative blood draws in a row. Then I will be done with chemo. If it goes back up again, the count starts all over. That will suck b/c I am positive it will go back up. Seems like it is going to take a miracle at this point. She doesn't want to switch me to the multi-agent b/c my number is so low. She did say she would only switch if it kept going up and down once I reached negative or if I don't reach negative. She didn't say how many weeks she would give it though. I almost asked about medicine for depression but didn't. My luck I would gain weight on it and I don't need that.
That is pretty much it. I go back in for blood work on Monday, but I am positive my number will go up.

Oh Lisa, I hope this is over for you soon, you have been through so much. Just a tip - I have been on many antidepressants over the years and never gained weight on any of them. Usually they make you feel better and you have more energy and you get more active again and lose weight.

I'm so sorry you are going through this; I can't even imagine. On top of everything else to have to endure this must be unbearable. You seem so positive and matter-of-fact though - great attitude

Yeah I kinda thought that was too! LOL Although my testing is weekly! YUCK
I will be so glad when I don't have to get stuck by a needle anymore. Guess I only have about 7 or 8 months left of that. Unless I go by the genetics counselor he said something about 2 years. Eventually though it will only be once a month.
AFM:
Thank you ladies. It has been really hard having to deal with all of this. I only cried a little bit yesterday so I guess that is an improvement. Only 2 more days till my edd and I really doubt I am negative b/c it usually takes about a week for the chemo to work. I forgot to mention in my post above that the dr. "predicts" that it will only take about 5 weeks. Guess we will see if she is right! I am so tempted to poas to see if anything shows up, but it won't do me a whole lot of good. I won't know the actual number. I hate having to wait so long.

I forgot to add that I won't be considered negative until I get 3 negative blood draws in a row. So right now 1 or 2 in a row doesn't mean a thing til I get the 3rd. I guess since my number keeps going up and down they want 3 before considering me negative. Now, I just have to get 3 and I am good to go hopefully! (seems almost impossible at this point with all that has happened)
*If I get my 1st negative on Monday that should be a good sign b/c usually it goes up so Monday will in a way tell it all!

Lisa,
This is the lowest your hcg has been, yet. I am hopeful that you are negative next week.
This has been a very long journey and few people can understand the frustration you are feeling right now. It took me 26 weeks to get my first post m/c AF (freak adhesion after the d&c). and another 2 cycles to get pregnant after that. You will come out of this a stronger person. You are all ready when of the strongest people I know in the internet world. The only thing that kept me going was that I put my trust in God and his plan.
Kat.

Oh Lisa, I still lurk here once in a while and each time I see your post about your numbers not going down or going back up again it makes me so sad. I'm so sorry that you are going through such rough times. HUGS!!!!! I wish you could be done with chemo and have some closure finally and be able to move on and ttc again. This just is so not fair!!!!!! Hang in there. You are going to see that rainbow soon! I'm sure of it.
