Well I've yet to recieve my biopsy results, they said they were in last friday and then yesterday told me they were waiting on the slide? Perhaps the results came and they really are waiting on the slide so doc can look it over herself as well?
Next step is the HSG, well they told me when they had me come in on tuesday that my insurance will more than likely NOT cover it (had a massive anxiety attack, felt like a heart attck!) reguardless of what it's for they try to say it's for infertility. EVEN THO it's NOT! There's nothing in my chart that is saying I'm being treated for infertility, but because we want a pregnancy they will try to say it is. I get pg, or have gotten pregnant several times and that right there she said would tell them it's not infertility as well. When filing for pre-auth they used the dignostic codes recurrent pg losses & abnormal uterine bleeding & dysmenorragha. PRAY PRAY PRAY it's covered!!!! So the test is next tuesday am and praying to GOD that they cover it otherwise we have to fork out 1800- to the hospital and 150- to my dr. We really cannot afford it, we have a decent amount in savings, but we don't want to use that KWIM? It's for emergencies. DH said if it's for my health then we will figure it out and asked if it was for pregnancy... he wants our baby so bad. The other day he said "He NEEDS me to have our baby" cute, but it sorta makes me feel bad. I know he meant it as a good mantra, positive thinking sort of thing.
Alsoooooo..... This cycle I started using soy isoflavones per Missy's suggestion (thanks Missy ) which it mimics clomid w/out the harsh side effects. I've done some reading on it and 75% of women get pg on the first cycle! Maybe I'll be one of those ladies? Missy has a special siggy made saying I'll get pg this month so perhaps her prediction is right? LOL! I just hope that RE sticks to what she said about putting me on progesterone as soon as I get a + hpt jic that is the issue, low progesterone. They monitor my hormones hcg, estrogen and progesterone during the first several weeks. Then I have to reapply for ins all over again. Lord willing that my good tube picks up the eggie as well, the nurse said even tho I may ovulate from my left side this cycle it's possible for the other tube to pick it up. And this HSG seems to help a woman's fertility right after... so it's on CD 11 praying that it opens the tubes and let the fertilization begin and super sticky good implantation deep in the uterus
Ok, so I think I'm done rambling for now...

Celena, I really hope this is your cycle. I will send "Pregnancy only" thoughts to your ins. company so your HSG is covered. I understand about your savings account. I feel the same way, to use it for emergencies only. BUT if you need to use it for the HSG, then it's a small price to pay for healthy pregnancy. I also read into the soy isoflavones and I think it's a great option for you. Don't you have to take it the same way as Clomid too? CD's 5-9 I read somewhere. I don't know. I just hope it works!!!

I hope it works Celena!! And I hope your ins covers it...it can go either way with them. I have had WAY too much experienc with healthcare...but you can always appeal a non-covered item and it generally works. I've never had one denied after an appeal, but I've never had an hsg specifically.
So I don't know anything about soy isolfavanoids...do tell! I'm very interested because clomid is a limited time offer you know? I am so terrified that even though it worked before it won't ever work again. I'll be interested to hear about them...

So I've been a psycho over trying to find someone, somewhere, somehow to get this procedure definitely covered. I'm on optima and well the MCO said if optima won't cover the test to have them give me an out of network referral for the MCO and they'll pick up the bill if optima doesn't.
I have ladies from the hospital calling my insurance, ladies at my dr's office and me... I've been documenting what they've been saying and got my diagnostic codes for the procedure.
Thank you for that about the appeals, I will definitely have to do that and if they pay for the HSG think I could swallow the 125-150 for my dr! That is a drop in the bucket compared to the almost 2 grand. If this is what gets me to have a healthy pregnancy finally then it is most definitely worth it, that's what I said before I started going to the RE and if there was bills we would deal with them... LATER. Right now it's time to figure out the health of this matter and go from there.
As for knowing abotu what the test turns up..... that's what I was thinking as far as knowing... but what if it turns up nothing? Then if I am to pay entirely out of pocket it will feel like a waste altho Dr's office is positive that it would increase fertility for me as it has for the majority of the women before me that has had it done. So it's a shot in the dark and I'm working it hard today, going to be calling some more tomorrow as well.... being massively persistant!
Cannot believe it's going to be on tuesday already and then a few days later I will be ovulating! Maybe this is the cycle?
However if they find something wrong, it's very likely I would have surgery for what they find... like for the fibroid tumor or what have you, the scar tissues, etc.
Oh ya and the soy isoflav works exactly like clomid... take it starting on days 3-5 and take it for only 5 days just like the clomid @ 80mg's. So far the only thing I've noticed is being warmer temp spiked the first night I took it. I get hot flashes anyways always have since I was a preteen, my mother always joked me.

Celena,
I am praying for you - I hope all gets covered by the insurance AND they find something minor that is easy to fix.
Didn't your son say that this is your month and that it will be twins? I believe him - he has his mother's gift.
Kat.

OH, I hope you can get it all covered. I had no idea they were so much $$$. Like you said, it would definitely be worth it, but it seems insurance should pay for it - especially since you have all your doctors and nurses vouching for you.
btw, you can get good natural progesterone cream online and in health food stores and use it yourself if you're concerned. I use it after I ovulate jic!

I hope everything works out. Hoping you get a BFP this cycle.
So is the soy isoflavones in like a protein powder type of thing or is it available in a pill? I havent read to much about this.

I really hope your insurance covers it . If it doesn't you might be able to negotiate a lower price. I've done this before and I know prices aren't really set.
I hope you get your bfp this month!
