I saw Alice in Wonderland in the theaters. I loved it!! The original is my FAVORITE Disney movie.
DH and I watch The Descent 2 the other night. You really need to see the first one in order to understand the 2nd one. But like always, for me, I thought the first one was much better. The 2nd one was ok, but the ending was just horrible. It's a movie about these women who go and explore underground caves and 1 of them makes it out and the others don't. The first one freaked me out bad! It's not for the weak stomaches. It gets a bit gory.

I saw Alice in Wonderland in the theatres as well. I took my family as well as the little girl that I work with, who is Autistic. She had never been to a movie before and she loved it!
I didnt even know that The Descent had a part 2! Ill be watching that soon!
This weekend we watched Edge of Darkness. It was an entertaining watch but the end leaves you hanging, thinking Hey! This cant really be over, can it?
Hope your weekend is great!

I watched episodes 1 - 9 of the Pacific. It is a mini series that HBO did about WW2. I only planned on watching 1 episode and got so hooked I watched almost the whole thing!!

I'm a HUGE Nicholas Sparks reader so I had to see Dear John - just watched it last night and loved it! Great love story - and it lived up to the book in my opinion

I liked Alice in Wonderland, watched it a couple of times
Um, I recently watched TEETH... anyone heard of this movie? It's like an indie horror flick about vagina dentata, I thought it was funny... so I'd give it a random thumbs up. Just remember it's so horrible that it's funny which makes it good. It's based on a truth, loosely. (not neccisarily the events in the movie, but the premise)
HOT TUB TIME MACHINE.... one word, FUNNY

I agree that Dear John is a really good movie. I liked it a lot. Brothers was good as well. I also watched Avatar last weekend and it was really good. Its very long but worth it.
I rented Alice in Wonderland for the girls. I didnt really watch it with them but my older daughter seemed to like it. Its a bit weird for me but they liked it. LOL
I watched The Blind Side at the movies and loved it. Great movie!!! Facing the Giants is another awesome movie.

We saw Toy Story 3 this week, and it was a great movie!!!! I'm glad we got to see it on the big screen...It's my son's favorite movie, so I hope it's something he always remembers!
I haven't seen anything else worth mentioning lately...I need something to watch right now.

I don't know about Dear John....I just couldn't get into it. The girl annoyed the crap out of me, so by the end, I just didn't care.
We went and watched Shrek Forever After at the dollar theater yesterday with the kids. It was very different from the other three, but it seemed to have more of a point than just making fun of other fairy tales and I loved it.
We saw Iron Man 2 for our anniversary, and I quite liked it, actually. I liked the bad guy better than in the first one.
edited to add: I LOVED Alice in Wonderland. I didn't like the original Disney one because it freaked me out as a kid, but I might have go back and re watch it now that I'm older, lol.

DH likes the games, so I'm sure that we're going to see that soon. What we couldn't figure out, though, is why they didn't get the actual prince of Persia, who happens to be a model and actor, to be the Prince of Persia. lol

I have to agree with Brittanie on Dear John, as a military wife, I was upset that she couldn't wait until he came home before going out and finding another man. . . and to break up with him in a letter! My dh witnessed friends get letters like that when he went to Iraq and he was so happy he had a wife he could trust and love knowing I was home waiting for him.
Sorry I had to vent!
I saw "Sex in the City 2" . . . not a fan, but I watched it because my girlfriends wanted to see it . . . still not a fan.
My oldest watched "Toy Story 3" and loved it. I wish I had went with him, but he watched it with a friend.
I really want to see Grown Ups and Eclipse, so if anyone sees those let me know if I should wait until they come out to dvd or see them immediately!
