So I get there @ 7:15am and get sent directly to the admissions lady. There was a problem with the Care Credit and she didn't know whether or not they took it. She tried numerous people to find out within the hospital's network of people. I ended up splitting the 1800- between credit cards and my checking account. Told me she continue to try to get it done for me and at least we could get me reimbursed the 800- I put on the c/c. PRAYING to God it works.

Onto the HSG...

So I get taken back to the hysto radiology room, strip from waist down and get into the gown... btw the room was FREEZING. Sat there and had to wait for my Dr to get there. The tube was long and scary... she showed me all the tools to have it done then has me lay back on the table. I couldn't for the life of me relax, kept trying to breathe and relax my muscles... the nurse kept trying to get me to relax as well as they stuck my cervix with a couple syriges full of anestetic since she had to clamp down my cervix. Then the tube was inserted and out they took the speculum... she starts to inject the dye slowly to see my uterus, then faster for my tubes and they had me turn to the left then to the right and back to my left. Knew something wasn't right, they were talking very low voices where I couldn't hear at that point. I was so focused on trying to relax that they sounded muffled when they were loudly talking to me anyways.

After everything is done and taken out, she turns the monitor my way and starts telling me what she did... says my uterus is a little triangular in shape but that is ok and isn't preventing conception. She goes on the show and explain to me my right tube how it's thin the gets larger towards the back. So I have stenosis of my tube, but she didn't say that was bad or anything. Then my left tube, the problemed tube... it's totally BLOCKED! Not a single thing went thru or into that tube at all. I instantly had niagra coming out from my eyes. I knew it, but didn't think it was that bad... figured it would be a little blocked because of the ectopic, but not entirely blocked. Didn't think it would be that bad... just never thought it would be to that point of blockage.

I cannot believe it

Doc told me to take advantage of the theraputic benefits of the HSG and get busy busy busy busy trying to get pg. When I do become pg she will watch me like a hawk and if I do have another ectopic then onto surgery to clear things up and so on. I'm so scared, don't want to go thru another loss or losses... I know it's possible to have a healthy pregnancy, I know that the good side could pick up the fertilized egg. And apparently I am ovulating from the right side this month as there is fluid on that side... so that's a good thing!

It's just not what I expected to find out today and while yes I'm glad that it was done... it's still allot of money.

I'm going to try to take a nap for now, tired emotionally exhausted

......

oh and this mean that yes, my fertility is reduced by 50%... I hope and pray to be a 1 tube wonder. Please Lord bless us with a healthy, properly implanted baby & pregnancy this cycle.

Oh sweetie! I am so sad while I am reading this...you deserve a bfp so bad! So the good news is that at least you have ONE viable tube...obviously you know the bad news already. Is there anything they can do now to help clear it or anything??

I'm so sorry your going through this. Lots of hugs. The good part about all this is at least you know what's going on and you still have hope. Lots of women go on to have healthy children. I'm praying that this is your month.

Celena,
You know you are always in my thoughts. I pray and pray you will get that BFP, and I hope they can offer some options to make the other tube usable. I hope it's your month, don't give up!!

I hope that you catch an egg from your good side this cycle. I know that sometime it doesn't help to hear this but one of my best friends had one of her ovaries removed and she got pregnant very easily afterwards with only one ovary.

Thanks ladies, I have slept all day just couldn't face it alone today. My heart is so broken and I'm still trying to process everything... I guess all is ok in a way if she's pushing me to get pregnant right away. Said to use the benefits of it. I really do not want to go thru another ectopic ever again or a loss.

Celena I am sorry.. I really hope that this is your cycle.. Miracles do happen.. My mom had a cyst on her ovary that was causing her miscarriages.. When she had that removed the Dr told her it could cause fertility problems and she might have problems getting pregnant.. Well she conceived 3 babies on that one ovary and had 3 great pregnancies.. It can happen hun.. Hang in there. I am routing for you.. HUGS!!!

Oh Celena, I'm so sorry about your left tube being blocked. I was just reading about this on the TTCw/MA board:

Fallopian tubes: Is pregnancy possible with only one? - MayoClinic.com

http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f7...eft-ovary.html (right tube and left ovary?????)

Hope this helps shed some light for you.
