Starting to think about it

Hello ladies! Some of you I know, but I'll introduce myself quickly anyway.

I'm Brittanie. My first baby, Cora Rei, was stillborn at 38 weeks on May 2, 2006 (cord accident). Erin was conceived 5 months later and was born June 7, 2007 (she turned 3 2 days ago!). Patrick was born Feb, 25, 2009 (he was a surprise).

Anyway, I've been thinking about TTC in the near future again. I have been saying for a long time that I want an 11/11/11 baby, but recently that has started feeling wrong. I feel like I should move up the date several months. Like....August (that's the month that keeps popping into my mind).

The only problem is that I get VERY VERY VERY sick. I've been doing intensive dental work and still have 22 fillings to go (in 3 appointments). I HAVE to get all my work done before I get pregnant again. I don't want to think about starting the puking again while I still have unfilled cavities.

But honestly, the idea scares the crap outta me. The fear of being so sick again is about as strong as the fear of another loss, but I feel like it needs to be, does that make sense?

Plus if I actually became pregnant in August that'd put me due in May again and I really don't think I could handle that. I want Cora's month to be hers alone.

I still haven't talked to my husband about this. Any time pregnancy comes up (we have some friends who are pregnant) he talks about how he wants me to be un-pregnant for a while longer. So I'm afraid to bring it up.

*sigh* I think I'll just hang out here for a while until I figure myself out, if that's okay with you ladies.

Honey, i think you should bring it up. You never know what has been going on in his head, he may think that it is what you want to hear. Good luck in your journey.

Brittanie! I remember when you conceived Patrick that your DH was surprised, but not upset. Perhaps once your dental work is done you could throw caution to the wind?

I've tried but there's just not a good time/way! Especially not after a night like tonight. lol

I mean, if I just randomly out of nowhere say "So I think we should get pregnant again sooner than February," he'll think I'm nuts. He'll list off all the reasons we shouldn't which are the same as they always are. So I need to be sure before I say anything.

He actually was a little upset, but he's a practical type of person, and once we were pregnant he didn't want to be unpregnant, so he accepted it a lot sooner than I thought he would.

Hi Brittanie.. Welcome.. I hope you stay around for a while.. I am there with you about DH's wanting to be unpregnant.. My DH just threw that ball at me right after I was miscarrying our third loss.. I think he is just scared of another one and dosen't want to try.. Good luck hun..

Hi, I am Katie, we have never officially "met" but I have seen you on other spots in JM. I hope the when you decide that your husband is on board and that everything goes great. I can't imagine being sick like that the whole time and I can see where it would hold you back from a decision.

Erin asked me today if she could have a baby sister. Looks like SHE'S on the same page...lol

I told her that she does have a sister, that her name is Cora and she lives with Jesus. She seemed to accept that...lol

I posted that on my facebook though, see if that gets Matt thinking about it, lol

Brittanie that is cute that Erin is asking for a baby sister.. Elijah has been asking me for the same thing, and it made me so happy to be expecting and when I lost the baby, and had to tell him that mommy lost the baby it broke my heart cause I want nothing more then to give him a baby sister my body is just not on the same page apparently.. I am going to go check out your FB page cause I must've missed that post.. LOL

I have said it before and I will say it again. I'll bet you $50 you are pregnant and have a baby before me! lol You didn't believe me before Patrick.... maybe you will this time. You better get hopping though because I am doing everything I can to make sure I am due in June next summer (or sooner). I need a summer due date so that I can stay on track with school though. lol
