Hi Everyone,

I am new to this but I was looking for any comments or advice from someone who has possibly gone through the same thing I have. I had an emergency c section 6mo ago and lost the baby I want to get pregnant again ASAP and we have been trying for 2mo...nothing yet! I was wondering if it will take a long time for me to possibly get pregnant again or if anyone has been able to get prego soon after a c section without any complications? Any advice would be helpful, I have talked to my OB and she said that as long as I waited a few months after the c section before we start trying that I should be OK. Thanks

I didn't have a C section, but I don't think there is any reason to think you wouldn't be able to get pregnant right away. Have you talked to your doctor about this?

Yeah when I went for my 6wk checkup after the c section I told her I wanted to start trying in April or May of this year to get pregnant and she said that it should be fine. I just want it to happen soon and I don't feel like it will, especially if that's all I can think about ya know. Thanks for your reply.

my first pregnancy was a miscarriage at 8 weeks. 2 months later I got pregnant and carried to term a beautiful baby boy! He was delivered by C-Section. I got pregnant again when he has 3 months old. So no problems there, but I had a surgery later, very much like a c-section, after a ectopic pregnancy ruptured and have been ttc since. That was 3 1/2 yrs ago.
