Hi ladies. I see some familiar faces, but I'll go ahead an reintroduce myself since it's been a while since I was last here.
My name is Stephanie. My DH Matt and I started TTC in March 2006. Since then we have conceieved 7 times, but quickly miscarried each time. Out most recent miscarriage was in November of 2009. After that loss, we decided to take some time off from TTC. We were NTNP. I personally don't believe in birth control (for myself...... I have no problem with others using it if they feel the need) so we weren't preventing. I needed a break for my own sanity. I had also just lost my great-grandma who I was extremely close too, and I've had to deal with one loss after another (whether pregnancy losses or the deaths of other family members) since we started TTC so the break was much needed. Now that I am more relaxed and honestly at peace with the fact that I might not have another successful pregnancy, we've decided that we can go back to actively TTC.
It's actually kind of a crazy time to be TTC really. I'm not expecting much for now. lol I am starting nursing school in August. I won't be temping or anything for now. I am going to take vitex and also drink lemon water and take geritol (which has worked for several other ladies I know) in hopes that a BFP will come easily.
Good luck to all of you and I can't wait to get to know you all better!

Hi Stephanie! Nice to see you here! I am sorry for the loss of your great-grandma.
I did the same as you... I had to come to the realization that we probably won't have a baby for my own sanity. It was hard... I cried a lot for what should have been. I was sad and depressed but then the peace settled in and I am feeling much better.
Welcome back!

1st, welcome back. Glad to hear that you are doing well. I am Michelle and DH Paul and I have been ttc for the past year and nine months with 5 losses. I'm hoping that your stay here is a short one.
2nd, what is the benifit of the lemon water and geritol? I've seen it here on a few boards and am curious. How many times a day do you do the lemon? does it have to be geritol? or will any prenatal work?

Welcome back Stephanie. I'm sorry for your losses. I hope you get your sticky bean soon. Have you had any testing done to see why you m/c? DH and I have had 3 losses, 1 2nd tri loss and 2 1st tri losses. We are starting IVF next month.
I know how you feel about lemons, I'm the same way.

The lemon water cleanses your body of toxins. The geritol is actually a vitamin supplement for elderly, but it has everything you need when TTC. Back in the 50's people of all ages were taking it and people starting getting pregnant. There has been a claim of "a baby in every bottle" (not made by the company though) since the 50's. I know at least two ladies on the medical assistance board who even have had failed IVF attempts only to end up pregnant naturally shortly after starting this regimen (within 2-3 months). You are supposed to get 1-2 glasses of lemon water a day for this to work.
whether or not any other vitamin works.... idk..... I figure if it has worked for them though, I'm not going to experiment with changes. lol I'll just give it a go.

Interesting. Do you just squeeze a lemon into water? A whole lemon?

I think I joined when you were still here. I am Lindsey.. That lemon water trick sounds cool.. I love lemons and limes so I don't think I would have a problem drinking it.. I know when I was pregnant with my son I craved citrus fruits.. I had everything from lemons to limes to grapefruits and oranges.. I hope your stay is short and sweet.. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your great grandmother.. HUGS...

For the lemon water you are supposed to squeeze half a lemon into a glass of water. I guess it has to be fresh lemons though. The lemon juice you get at the store doesn't have the same benefits. Something to do with the aging process or something.

Welcome Back! I remember you from awhile ago here, and the TTC board. DH and I took a break from TTC when we planned our wedding, and just got married a month ago. We've had three early losses now. Congrats on nursing school!
Sending you lots of baby
