Hi Girls,
I've been away for a while just trying to get some perspective and remember that TTC isn't the be all and end all of life (Thank you Tobi for your message!).
Anyway, it's THAT time of the month (the good one!) and I've had a couple of weird things that I wondered if anyone had any experience of.
O should have been Friday or yesterday though I NEVER get a positive OPK. For the first time ever I've had what I think was ovulation spotting on Thursday - literally just a spot when I wiped and now I have god awful cramps. VERY similar to AF cramps in my back, through my legs and a drawing feeling in my lower abdomen. I'm also feeling like I'm sea sick and am hideously sleepy.
If this was O spotting, when in relation to actually ovulating does it occur? Is this mittelschmertz (or however you spell it!) and why, when I've NEVER experienced it before, am I now? Does anyone else get this sick feeling when they ovulate?
I guess there are two things going through my mind. Why is it different this month? AND (and this is just because I'd quite like it to be but highly unlikely!) Could I have O'd early and this be implantation bleeding and the beginning of PG symptoms? OR could it be something completely different?
Thoughts appreciated!
Thanks
H

I started to get dizzy and nausea the last few cycles.. this past time around.

I think what you are feeling is ovulation related.

Ok, Im not going to be much help here, cause what Ive learned is that "O pains" can happen before during or after. Sometimes there can be pain while the folicle is developing (Before), when the egg bursts free (During) or the fluid that is released with the egg can cause pain, sometimes 2 days after O! The pain that you are describing is exactly what I usually feel every cycle, and I know I have no cysts or other issues with my ovaries, in case thats a worry.
I have no knowledge about the bleeding, Ive only heard of it.
I have no idea why its different this month, but weirdly enough Ive had the exact opposite experience this cycle! Normally O hurts terribly, this month, nothing! I used the fertility monitor this month and it says I ovulated, otherwise I would have been positive I didnt!!
P.S. Im so glad you are back! I missed you! I hope you were able to work through everything you needed to and are at peace with what you were struggling with. ~~hugs~~

Thanks Girls. We've been trying and have used PreSeed this cycle. Have no idea if it will really help but makes the morning quickies easier! TMI I know! It's just odd that I've NEVER had O bleeding before but it's good to know that the nausea might be a good sign. We'll see.
Tobi - not sure I've made peace but am certainly in a better place.... I'm young, healthy have a wonderful life.... if that's the best it gets, I'm better off than a lot of people and I need to keep that in mind.

I'm so happy you're back and feeling optimistic Helen!!!!
This sounds like a STRONG OVULATION cycle for you and maybe this is it, the cycle that leads to your BFP!!! I can't imagine it being anything more than some serious hormones coming into play with the feelings your body is going thru. Praying that this is the cycle
Some cycles O pains are super strong, other cycles it's a twinge... I personally don't normally get spotting mid month but I have, not frequently tho and couldn't tell you from my signs what it was... it could've been from the egg busting out or implantation bleeding?

Well we'll see what happens - I'm really trying to keep myself grounded though did POAS earlier! Waaaaaaaay to early I know and then was convinced I see something but we all know that I see lines where they don't exist!
Thanks for your comments Celena - a strong ovulation cycle would be nice! I've NEVER had any kind of spotting (even when I had Implanon I had super regular cycles) and didn't get an implantation bleed with my last pregnancy so it was a little disconcerting to say the least.
I guess it's something I just need to keep an eye on.
Incidentally - does anyone ever get a positive on OPKs? I swear they make them just to make me spend money!

Do you drink lots and lots of water? Could be from that....
When I get close to O time I'll test twice even three times in a day between 11am - 11pm. They say most women surge in the am, but it won't show up in the urine until later in the afternoon 12-2pm. It could be that you surge at a different time and it doesn't show up at the time when you normally test. (just theorizing here) lol
I do get + opk's and they're not usually first thing in the am either... I got my +'s this cycle closer to noonish and one even in the evening.

Celena you make me laugh!
No pic. Much to the annoyance of DH I've lost (in DH speak read thrown/given away) the battery charger for my camera. I did attempt a cell phone pic but it was terrible and his camera is far too complicated.
Cycle wise - IF (and I'm learning this is a big if) I ovulate in the middle of my cycle and the spotting I had was O spotting, I think I'm 6DPO. On the other hand if I ovulate early (and last preg I think the u/s measured bigger than I should have been at that stage) who knows.
If I'm honest I don't think this is my cycle. I really haven't been looking after myself as well as I should have been in terms of eating well, late nights, alcohol etc. Not that I've been terrible in any respect but I could definitely have done better.
We'll see.....
