Hi All, as most of you know I suffered a miscarriage a little over 2 weeks ago and I was just wondering if you know if you O'd the cycle after miscarriage? DH and I went away this weekend and we ended up DTD on day 14 after the miscarriage. We didn't use protection and didn't really think about it until afterwards, but I don't know if there is a chance I could get PG or not. We are going to officially start TTC after I have a normal period but I was just wondering...

We would not be disappointed if I was PG at all, we'd be happy! But I was wondering if it might cause a problem with the dating of the PG if it did happen, or if my risk of M/C would be even higher because we didn't wait a cycle.

I see the OB on Wed for my follow up and to check and HCg then (to see if it is declining as it should) so I don't even know if a HPT would be accurate in a few weeks or if it did show up positive if it would be from the miscarried pregnancy.

Any insight would be appreciated!

It depends on the woman. While I had a + OPK, EXCM, a HIGH cervix... The cycle after my last loss.. I went in for an ultrasound.. and had NO mature follicle that would of released an egg... So I know FOR SURE... even with all the signs of ovulation.. NO EGG!

But some women.. get pregnant.. before even getting AF after thier m/c.. so it can happen. Evey single one of us is different!!!

I hope you one of the ladies who get thier BFP Quickly!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

As for dating the Pregnancy.... U/S... are so much more advanced.. You would just have an early u/s... to date the pregnancy.. oh darn right?? LOL

Kary,

Thanks. Of course we'd be elated.... I guess I am just scared that if I was to get PG that I'd lose this baby too because we didn't give my body enough time to heal.

I haven't been checking my CM or anything (actually was taking antihistamines anyway because my allergies were killing me!) but I was temping before we went away and my temps had dropped back into the 97 range which makes me think at least the progesterone is mostly out of my system, and today my temp was 98.2 so who know what the heck my body is doing??

I know it is scary, the thought of having it happen again.. But your body won't get pregnant if it is not ready.... But we can not control things like chromosmal issues, or things that we may have going on.. (clotting issues.. ect).. That is why TTCAL is such a hard road... It sucks that we have to question something that should be so happy and carefree... HUGS

With my first m/c at 4w I O'd on cd 33. For some reason that one was really hard on my body and took me a while to get back on track. With my 2nd m/c I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum and m/c'd at 11w and I O'd on cd 18.

It's definitely possible you could get a bpf this cycle. I hope you get your sticky bean soon!

I think you'll always be worried about it happening again no matter when you get your bfp. All we can really do is hang in there and hope for the best.

I know for sure I ovulated the cycle after my 2d miscarriage (+OPK, EWCM, temp shift, confirmation through ultrasound) , and I'm pretty sure it happened after the first one too (temp shift)

Well I just started AF so I must have o'd between my mc and now...I'm guessing around CD20, assuming the mc is "CD1"...definitely possible to get pg before AF shows if your body is ready. Good luck!

I am almost positive that I o'd CD 21 ( +opk, Temps and EWCM) but without a U/S I can't be 100% sure but all the signs were there. Good Luck

I'm almost positive I O'd this cycle (first after m/c, and first time ON MY OWN). I had a positive OPK, which isn't always accurate with PCOS, but I also had O pains just like the Clomid cycle only not as strong.

thanks ladies. I have had a definite temperature shift but didn't track CM and no U/S so who knows. DH and I were naughty on day 14 and 16 after the M/C so I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
